Brief description of the issue: forced to make a new MS password now on startup a window pops up asking for MS login password but it will not let me enter the password on the line given. unable to continue with startup ?

Try hitting ALT-TAB to switch windows and come back to the login screen. Sometimes Windows loses “focus” on which dialogue box is active and needs input.
Unfortunately ALT-Tab has no effect The MS dialog box is overlaying the desert scene startup screen its like they are froze together. the only way out of the freeze is the ~three finger salute~ CTRL-ALT-DEL
I just recently installed the game for the first time with no addons or mods and only started it up three times without issue then after I changed my MS login password the Dialog window appeared blocking the startup. ;-(
I wonder if you need to log out of everything, XBox, XBox Companion App and MS-Store, then login again with your new credentials since you changed your ONLINE MS User Account password. Then try re-launching.
There’s a lot of authentication dependencies associated with this simulator.
although your suggestion did not work, I did discover along the way that when I hit just the TAB key
that it would highlight a specific segment of the dialog box and tapping it again would move it to the next section allowing me to input the password and then again allowing me to activate the sign in button and the game then completed startup.
I hope someone else finds this useful.
