Cannot launch due to: "Here’s the error code, in case you need it: 0x87E10BC6"

Same problem with me. I am not in Beta.

One difference I noticed is that when I usually start I get the message “do you want this app to make changes to this device” I click OK and all is good and MSFS launches.

Now I am getting this message again after I click OK the first time. When I click OK the second time it gives me the noted error message.

Same, I was about to do a clean install on a new hard drive I just bought.

This is odd. Sim was working fine a few hours ago. Upgraded to the new SU12 Beta and did some looking around. Didn’t turn off the laptop. Went to load up the sim and got hit with this:

Get the error when I try to run the game from desktop as an administrator and from the Xbox app.

Hello, thank you for the reports. I’ve escalated this internally for investigation.

Don’t do it just yet. Looks like a wide spread problem. Wait awhile and lets see how it goes.

Do you have the same issue if you follow the OP’s steps to reproduce it?

Yes exact same issue, when launching game from xbox app it appears with something went wrong on our end and gives error code 0x87E10BC6

Provide extra information to complete the original description of the issue:

when launching game from xbox app it appears with something went wrong on our end and gives error code 0x87E10BC6. I restarted my computer, signed out and back in, ended any related tasks on my task manager and tried to open again. I have also uninstalled and reinstalled to try get it to launch but will not launch on a fresh install. Other games are loading fine without issue only msfs is having the issue.

Same here regular retail version.

YES

Provide extra information to complete the original description of the issue:

Since beta update today after restart game no longer loads Error 0x87E10BC6

If relevant, provide additional screenshots/video:

As of 22:30pm BST, myself and a number of others have started receiving the following errors upon opening the simulator.

This error completely prevents launch (no splash loading, nothing) and the “go to support” page redirects to a page on Data Execution Prevention.
This occurs on the Xbox app.

I personally recieve this on Windows 11, unsure about others.

Are you on the beta?

No - there have been no updates installed as far as I’m aware. The sim was working less than an hour before this.

PC also.
Windows 11

Same here, already tried these commands:

Get-AppxPackage -allusers WindowsStore | Remove-AppxPackage

Get-AppxPackage -allusers WindowsStore | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register “$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml”}

No sucess.

Also experiencing this on Windows 11, MS Store edition

I get the following error message when I try to launch. I tried to repair the install and reboot the PC but nothing has worked so far

Something happened on our end. Here’s the error code, in case you need it: 0x87E10BC6

Same issue here in Australia… On retail version

Good to know this isn’t just for the Beta which I thought it was. Time for some tv shows.
