One difference I noticed is that when I usually start I get the message “do you want this app to make changes to this device” I click OK and all is good and MSFS launches.
Now I am getting this message again after I click OK the first time. When I click OK the second time it gives me the noted error message.
This is odd. Sim was working fine a few hours ago. Upgraded to the new SU12 Beta and did some looking around. Didn’t turn off the laptop. Went to load up the sim and got hit with this:
Do you have the same issue if you follow the OP’s steps to reproduce it?
Yes exact same issue, when launching game from xbox app it appears with something went wrong on our end and gives error code 0x87E10BC6
Provide extra information to complete the original description of the issue:
when launching game from xbox app it appears with something went wrong on our end and gives error code 0x87E10BC6. I restarted my computer, signed out and back in, ended any related tasks on my task manager and tried to open again. I have also uninstalled and reinstalled to try get it to launch but will not launch on a fresh install. Other games are loading fine without issue only msfs is having the issue.
This error completely prevents launch (no splash loading, nothing) and the “go to support” page redirects to a page on Data Execution Prevention.
This occurs on the Xbox app.
I personally recieve this on Windows 11, unsure about others.
