A company of your size and financial standing should have absolutely zero issues with game launches. MSFS 24 already has a heap of issues which are getting resolved veryyy slowly, if at all, so everyone’s frustration is 100% justified.
I’m extremely disappointed in the way the servers function for this game. Really robs the average user of some much needed fun and relaxation.
I did have one session, which sadly I did not record, where it got stuck trying to perform the activation of products, and I ended up giving up to do something else. That was yesterday I think.
We understand people are frustrated not being able to launch the sim. We have technicians troubleshooting the issue and working on a resolution. We will share more information once we have a further status update.
Thank you once again for your patience and understanding as our teams work to restore normal service.
Having the same issue as everyone else and am located in Portland, Oregon. I tried the troubleshooting steps recommended - making sure all updated were installed in Windows store and Xbox app, running the Xbox gaming services repair tool ( Xbox Support ), logging in and out of both Windows Store and Xbox gaming app - but still couldn’t get it to work.
Decided to use a VPN and chose a New York server location. Launched the game (while running the VPN) and it loaded right up.
Decided to exit the game, disconnect my VPN and run as normal and the game loaded right back up (this time without using the VPN).
Sorry but, no. Chewwy has made several posts that amount to “we are looking into it”. No ETA, no detail. This is unacceptable for a company this size concerning a game released A YEAR AGO.
The banner you had up last night talked about a totally separate issue earlier in the day. Maybe you’ve now updated it, I don’t know. Are you telling me it’s not possible to put an in-game message that says “hey we are having issues right now, you may not be able to connect.”
I can confirm this worked well. I am in finally using VPN connection to the east coast. I am in the west so they must be having authentication issues in western US
There is a solution checkbox:
in every post in the Bug Reporting Hub that any topic author (@SpideryPlains3 in this case) can tick if they consider a user has found a solution to their problem.
I’ve unticked the post that was marked by the OP as obviously the issue is still occurring. The issue was thought to have been fixed for a while yesterday, which is why the OP perhaps checked a post as the solution.
Can someone who is having the issue please try to flush your local DNS cache and try connecting again? At a command prompt as admin run the command “ipconfig /flushdns”.
This is day number 2 having MSFS 2024 not loading, stopped at 0% Loading Language…. It is 10:00am Pacific Standard and I am located just south of LAX. Still waiting and will try again around noon local time.
I had to download a VPN app to my laptop and hotspot to my Xbox. I tried a couple different servers and it seems like Charlotte, NC is the ticket. After hours of trying literally everything aside from wiping my data in the cloud, I finally got it to work.
I’m in Alaska currently at 17% loaded. It’s going slow tho which is expected but at least it’s loading!
