Cannot load *.pln after landing at destination, only *.flt is allowed

After a short flight, and landing at destination, and gate/parking arrival, pressing the more button to load flight plan from PC, simulator only looks for flight plans ending in .flt - and not .pln

You are correct.
Entering the *.pln does list the .pln files but it will not load a .pln file.

It used to work.

It did not hurt anything.
Now, you have to go back to the Main Menu and World Map.

I wonder why they would want to stop it?

Apparently “By DESIGN” (Change, because the alternative was too complex with issues it generated).

The good news, is that this may need to be re-addressed, with the introduction of the WT GNS530, and it’s possible associated flight plan loading issues.

This glitch hasn’t been fixed yet. I find it quite tiresome to go back to the main menu to load my next flight plan after landing.

Why don’t I save it as .flt? Because Little Navmap only saves as .pln. I find it quite tiresome to load a pln file and save it as flt from within MSFS.
