Everything was working fine until I had to do a reinstall due to other problems. Reinstall went fine, albeit it took a long time to download a large number of addons. Once completed, everything was working fine and I could move files in and out of the Community folder as needed. However, now for some unknown reason, I can no longer move or rename the Community folder (done to not load any of the Community folder addons), nor can I move any of the files within the Community folder. So I am stuck with a bunch of files in the Community folder I no longer wish to use. Anybody have any suggestions?

What’s the complete path of your Community folder?
C:\Users\rgbuc\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.FlightSimulator_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalCache\Packages\Community
Right click the community folder and then select “Properties”. Within the properties, select “Security”. Once there, click on your username and then edit. Ensure you have full control. Even if you do, uncheck and re-check then apply and see if re-setting the permissions helps.
It would also help to share what you are seeing when you try and do anything (any errors) or just does nothing?
If you reinstalled to a different drive than C, this folder is/might be, only a symbolic link and you have to find the actual community folder on the drive different than C:\users
You also might have a bad install, which was your first problem, and you did not delete all subfolders of the old before installing again.

Thanks for the help.
I formally removed everything related to MSFS, then reinstalled it to all the default locations. The program works without fault and everything runs fine. I just couldn’t move anything in or out of the Community folder. However, see my reply to skypilotYTS as my version of a workaround.
First of all, thanks for your prompt reply.
Sorry, I somehow managed to screw up my reply. I did follow your instruction and verified that I had full control. I also unchecked everything and rechecked Full Control for everything, but nothing changed. So, since I had copies of all the addons I have downloaded, I simply deleted all the files in the Community file and replace them with the files I had downloaded and everthing now seems to work fine in that I can move files in and out of the Community folder without any problems. However, when I had to download a program and it installed the program into the Community folder, I had the same problem. But, the error message had changed to "An error occurred moving “file name”. Access is denied.
“a program”“installed”? Either that’s a mod or utility that you ‘copy’ to the community folder, or if that’s an actual .exe file program, that should never be installed in the Community folder. MSFS Store appears actually to be a hidden secured virtual drive for the copyrights, which creates these security problems and in the past I had to uninstall MSFS Store (don’t know about Steam) AND delete all created subfolders by MSFS to create a fresh fully functioning MSFS installation.
Yeah, it can get confusing. When I said I installed a program, it was not placed in the Community folder as an exe file. Some of the addons unzip as an exe file and then their program loads the addon into the Community folder. Sometimes the addon installes a separate folder into the C:\ drive; more for things like Wx programs, and many of the REX products. Right at the moment, I’m moving everything in and out of the Community folder without any problems, so I suspect it’s something that happened when I did the new install. Something is encoding or creating some security issue that seems to affect the Community folder, although I don’t have a clue what is causing it, let alone how to fix it. So for the time being, I’ll just delete and replace files when I need to move something out of the Community file.
However, that said, I did download and install the Addon Linker and it seems to work fine. With one exception, it seems to move the files in and out of the Community folder without any problems. This was a good suggestion from somebody as it a lot easier to work with rather than doing everything manually.
