Did you remove all your community mods/add-ons? If yes, are you still experiencing the issue? Yes

Description of the issue: Only realistically suitable local airport for career mode. Cannot be selected for career mode, despite the interface prompting the user to “select anywhere in the world”.

• I am able to select an airport if I click one of the pins immediately after selecting “Career” from the main menu. If I attempt to use the search bar and try to choose an airport that way, the pin is grayed out and I cannot select it.
To resolve, I have to go back out to the main menu, enter “Career” mode again, and try again using the first approach.

This is by design. Not a bug. Think of having to navigate the complex taxiways of a KLAX or EGLL, like maybe an impressionable beginner might be inclined to pick as a starter airport only to be whomped by a 20-min taxi to departure.
Local strips keep the mucking about times real short and sweet to get to the flying.
You will be able to pick a major airport later on in the game, but you probably didn’t make it far enough to know that. Don’t worry, it’s coming, keep flying.
As said, this is by design. What design, who knows, but it’s limited by design. I can select a handful of medium airports in my country, while there are hundreds more suitable for a training. Guess the basis is paved runway, parking spots, maybe tower. But not too big. Looking at YPJT, it’s got three runways and 166 parking spots. Too big for a start
Definitely not paved, as YPJT is paved, and I can select other smaller grass strips. It may be by traffic volume. But as it is the primary GA base for a large area, of course it has high traffic volume.
I see what you mean though, perhaps the mods can move this wishlist rather than bug report, as I guess it is more of a design issue than a bug.
It is unrealistic for people in this area who want to do career in their local area to choose any other airport.
Same thing, regionals are also off the table for starting career. Anything but a small airfield is not selectable until you progress far enough, or maybe you and only you are right and everyone at Asobo is wrong and this is a bug - but most probably you just didn’t play enough to find out.
My point is if you were familiar with this area you would understand how unrealistic it is to have the other airports selectable but not YPJT.
You and the devs at Asobo who worked on this feature are not familiar with this area, that much is evident. I do not expect you to be. That is why I made the report. But don’t come here and try to dismiss and spout off about something you are not familiar with.
