Cannot switch off blue squares & location markers

I am trying to switch off the blue squares you get - as an assistance - for after taking off - the blue squares - after you take off and get towards your destination airport

Tried to do this - but even when you switch the setting off - still get the blue squares

Also - where is the setting - to get the circular icon on the horizon for your destination airport - after selecting the flight plan on the world map - also where is the setting to change and increase the labelling of landmarks and towns and cities - for the landscape you are flying over ?

I moved it to HOTAS B1 because the left stick is not that convenient.

It’s listed as ‘Toggle Visual Assistances Display’ in the Controls Settings.
