In the camera menu I can see the change from FIXED LOOK to FREELOOK clicking the right mouse button, but nothing happens. I can use the right mouse button in external view but not in cockpit. All planes. This just started with the most current update. HELP!
The same thing happens to me, but I can also no longer use the right mouse button in the external view.
I m using Logitech (Saitek) X-56 Rhino H.O.T.A.S. System.
My first thought was that the function is already assigned on the stick and that it works there.
But bevor last update both worked ok
Make sure this binding is still there on your mouse.
I would have a hard time switching to another controller now that I’ve had that stick to look around. The X56 is awesome. There are likely better ones out there (like Warthog), but I don’t think I could give up that thumb stick.
You can try this: Go to the main menu settings, mouse sensitivity and bring the second (+) slider to 100% (i have now 30%) and save this. After this, the free mouse look is back in cockpit and external view. But at the in flight menu, camera type, the selection from fixed and free is still not possible. This must be fixed by Asobo. But mouse look is working again, which was important for me.
Make sure True Cockpit Mode isn’t on under General/Camera. Either I turned it on or it turned on during an update and I lost my ability to free look until I turned it back to Off.
That was the problem. Thanks!
I never reset it but I guess the latest update did reset it.
Thanks again
Your welcome
The true cockpit mode on or off does not helped for me. Only the adjustment in the mouse sensitivity was trick to get my mouse look back…
Thanks for the tip, but it doesn’t work for me. I tried all the combinations, including the suggestions from MRTNAIRLINES and RCAFVET (thank you all!), but my mouse no longer works as described.
I’m also back to the default settings, but no change.
I totally agree with the X56
Two hours later : My initial guess that the function on the stick superimposed the function of the mouse was not that wrong.
On the stick, the function is on the small joystick that is operated with the thumb. It’s very sensitive and I’m sure I set a dead zone, but it was now 0.
When I set its dead zone to 1, the problem with the mouse was fixed. I got it when I watched the cockpit view slowly moved out of focus, although I didn’t touch anything .
Thanks to all!
I still cant solve The problem. i have The Beach Turtle Velocity one Flight Stick and The only way to Look around in the Cockpit is to move The Mini Stick in the Joystick. No Mouse Look around possible.
Moved to Install, Performance & Graphics
I have the same stick and I had the same problem.
What solved it for me was this: set a small dead zone (5 % or so) for both the mini stick axis’ in the sensitivity settings.
Hope it works for you as well, because this issue is mighty annoying. Good luck!
It did Not Help but i also have Not found the “True Cockpit Mode” …AS i have German Menüs. Where to find that Option?
@JohnDikkson Thanks! I have just acquired a Velocityone Flightstick and thought it might be something to do with the hat switch bindings. A dead zone of 1% seems to have cured the same issue for me.
The “True Cockpit” Mode doesn’t exist anymore - it’s now the “Home Cockpit” … And the workaround with the Dead Zone, if you have Cockpit View Settings on a POV-Trigger/Stick should be working.
