I’ve been away from the sim for a couple of months for work. Got back to it, updated everything but now when I try to exit the sim, it freezes. I click on the “Quit to Desktop” button which brings up the “Are you sure you want to exit Flight Simulator” option. I click on yes and it just freezes and nothing happens so I have to go to my Task Manager and end the task there. Before ending the task in Task Manager, MSFS shows significant CPU usage (16-18%). I saw a post about this during the SU15 Beta (which I was not a part of) but it offered no solutions. I have never seen it until now. Any ideas?
I’ve been experiencing it for as long as I can remember. Killing all 3rd party addons before exiting MSFS usually helps.
I have had the same problem for many months. I have seen a few proposed solutions but none of them work for me.
Now I just alt f4 from the main menu. That does not cause any problems.
Problem resolved. I had another problem where an update to an aircraft that I had bought in the Marketplace was stuck at the decompressing stage. Once I had resolved that issue, this issue disappeared too.
