Didnt work here also. I reinstall my windows and then when I tried to login a message came up saying…
“Account Incompatibility. This account is not the Xbox Network account you selected to link to your Microsoft Flight Simulator account on Steam. Please choose a different Xbox Network account to access Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024.”
This is simply unimaginable… Such a product, such a price - there is no normal option to log out/change account.
I have the same issue, this is so annoying.

The Support FS Team email me telling that they can delete the account that you logged in by mistake and then I can log in with the correct one. I gave up coz I dont want to get another kind of problem. And you will loose all progression that you have made on the “wrong account”.
I reached out to them - and they said that did delete the account, but it still does not work for me. I get the same message, no change. I am hoping that they can do something else.
I also contacted support and they said they can’t delete my account
“Thank you for contacting Microsoft Flight Simulator Support today. We understand that you logged in with the wrong Xbox account and are unable to access your MSFS2020 library. Unfortunately, we cannot delete the --------account from the game. We will work together until we find a solution that works according to our possibilities. We appreciate having you as an avid player of our game.”
ah jeez. I don’t know what I will do in this case. I cannot rebuy the sim on Steam…I can’t have more than one copy. What options do we have?
I contacted MSFS support, and Erik there has been an absolute legend. He sorted my issue along with another issue I was having (missing DLCs).
