Can't install payware from marketplace on PC

Hi,

I’m hoping someone can help, I can’t seem to re download my paid marketplace addons, they start the download process, then pause and go back to 0% download.

I am on a PC (marketplace purchases), my Xbox game pass is current, does not renew until end Aug. My MSFS was working fine up until last night, I accidentally deleted the layout.json file from my PMDG 737800 so thought, darn, I best re install it, I’m now down a rabbit hole of issues.

I use addon linker so have removed all my community installed payware/freeware.

I deleted and successfully reinstalled base files, no issue

If I look in the Official/Onestore when I click on install I see the PMDG package there as a PART file with 0 bytes, it never increases, after about 2 hours it just says failed download.

I have cleared out my base files and re downloaded (they all downloaded correctly), I have cleared out other Asobo folders from the onestore, they re install fine, I deleted an FSReborn and an inibuilds paid one to see if that would kick the d/l off…Now they wont install either.

I have checked and the “AppData\Local\packages\Microsoft.FlightSimulator_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalCache\Packages\Official\OneStore” is empty

I have run through the repair the xbox app

I’m a bit at a loss, hoping someone would be kind enough to give me some ideas

My broadband is 100/50 (as I say it downloaded all the base files fine)

I tried here to install inibuilds EGNM scenery, but again, same issue

Try logging out of xbox app and login again, please make sure your version of windows apps are all updated including windows it self, and if necessary repair the gaming services.
Just remember, recently some of the servers went down and prevented people from logging on to the game.
As a footnote make sure your firewall is not blocking anything that it should not! my own firewall has been guilty of this, but I found out and made the necessary adjustments.

Only part of the file has been downloaded as you say, have you tried something like a VPN to see if that works?

Not sure a VPN would help in this case as IM going straight to the MS Store.

Will try the firewall etc, find it odd it d/ls the base files etc, just not the payware.

I shall try logging out and back in.

Have you tried renaming the 0KB part file - e.g.: filename.part-temp, then trying to reinstall?

Iv ended up going the nuclear option.

Iv deleted and re installing from scratch, i can see the pmdg has already installed, only 276gb left…

So dunno what it was but this does seem an extreme fix when your install is circa 470gb all in.
