I really need some help, I’m going crazy.
I had to reinstall windows 10 (which is a long story in itself) then downloaded the app from the store. When I press launch all I get is a few turns off the white circle and then a black screen.
I have tried everything mentioned on this forum from uninstalling my antivirus, turning off the firewall and windows defender, turned off and changed the sound settings, reset caches, reset the window store. I am stuck. Any help will be greatly appreciated. All I can think of is to reinstall windows 10 again.. Please help
I needed to download and install the C++ 2013 and 2015 redistributables. Both the 86x and 64 bit ones. I’m not at my computer to give you a link but a quick internet search will get you what you need.
If you must do a clean Win-10 install, be sure to download the latest Win10-64 bit version from Microsoft to an USB device, and update all drivers for your hardware, and you should be fine.
I had a similar problem after a clean install, although for me the sim was crashing every time as soon as the desert image appeared after the checking for updates dialogue (so might not be the same). The solution was to unplug all usb controllers, flight sticks, yokes, pedals etc. and start the sim. After starting the first time successfully, shut down the sim and plug everything in again. Restart PC and the Sim should start ok after that with the devices plugged in. If you plug in the devices while the sim is running it will probably freeze and eventually crash.

Installing Visual C packages did the trick.
