Can't start a flight and community extras are disabled

Hi. I really need some help. I am using MSFS 2024. Things were working and then from no where. The sim got stuck on 97% loading. I had to start in safe mode , all good, then start again in normal mode.

Game started but all my community folder stuff was missing. I seem to have a folder called “Community” and a folder called “Comunity 2024” in the same location. I was using 2020 but have just uninstalled that.

In the market place all my community folder items were in there were diasbled. I enabled them started a flight and the screen just stopped moving towards the ground with the cog spinning on the right hand side. I pressed escape to go back and all the items in the community folder have been disabled again. can anyone help please.

I can’t start a flight and I can’t keep the extras in community that were working before, enabled.

If MSFS works in safe mode, that usually means one of the mods in your Community folder is causing MSFS 2024 to hang. The best way to figure out which one is the culprit is to do a simple test: move half of your addons out of the Community folder and try starting MSFS. If it works, the problematic mod is in that half. You can keep splitting and testing until you find the exact mod that’s causing the issue.

There’s one mod you should check first – I can’t give the exact name, but it has something to do with Bing and Google. If you have that mod, try removing it first before testing anything else.

Also, check the system file called hosts. You can find it at:

C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc

Open it via Notepad and see if there are any extra lines added.

If you see lines like:

127.0.0.1 kh.ssl.ak.tiles.virtualearth.net
127.0.0.1 khstorelive.azureedge.net

delete them and save the file or if you’re sure you didn’t modify it yourself, reset hosts file.

Thanks but I don’t have any of those mods installed. But will look through the community folder again. But 2024 was working and I have not installed anything new in the community folder.
Any idea why the market place keeps setting the items in my community folder to disabled? even after I re-enable?
