Game wont start for me and tried on both windows 10 & windows 11 without any luck. Starting to lose my mind with this game
Same Problem for me. How did you uninstall? Installing old version didn’t work, there is no uninstallroutine!
Legend, thank you!
Uninstall Platform Manager using Add/Remove program, then restart the PC.
I’m guessing NLR will release a fix at some point.
Now to find out if the MSFS servers are still a mess…
Sorry, I tried the former version only! Now I succeeded and MSFS2024 runs again but without Motionplatform! We defintly need a working update!
No Platform Manager in Windows 11
Same issue here.
Win11+Steam.
I don’t get any erro window, I had tomanually track error into this folder:
%appdata%\Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024\AsoboReport-OldCrashes
/!/ CRASH /!/TOML
[OnCrash]
Msg="_handleSEH"
Type="SEH"
Code=0xC0000005
[Engine]
ReportVersion=10
ExitApp=false
TimeUTC=2024-11-24T20:40:46Z
BuildVersion="1.1.9.0"
Finally was able to boot into the game. Wish I had tried one at a time but didn’t, changed/did 2 things.
First- I booted up my xbox series s and installed the game to see if it would work. It actually worked better than I thought it would. Took a test flight just using the controller and quit the program and shut down the xbox.
Second- Booted up the PC and just before launching the game, checked the system tray and QUIT Navigraph Sim Link.
The game loaded, and I was back in.
Leaning more to the installation on the Xbox as the solution for me but can’t rule out SimLink. Haven’t seen any complaints about it.
I had this problem until I stumbled upon a discord post of someone with my same Qubic system motion platform and in that software there is a part of the program used for virtual reality motion compensation…turning that off solved the MSFS not loading….i think it’s related to programs looking for MSFS to launch (and hooking into MSFS to read data, so things like motion compensation programs for VR, sometimes also FPS monitors like MSI afterburner, RTSS Riva tuner if too sensitive, etc). I tried to turn off anything that would monitor program activity on the PC like the linked post above where it has lists of things known to sometimes conflict. The error codes are not helpful and event viewer isn’t helpful either as no way to know which program caused the CTD with MSFS.
