Purchased LFTZ – Saint Tropez scenery on marketplace (my first purchase there). Install went fine, but then when I tried to load a flight departure from LFMN (Nice), it suddenly slowed WAY down at about 95% and after about two minutes, finally reached the end. Then it just sat there. Waited 15 minutes – nothing. The only way I could do anything was to ctrl-alt-del and end the task in task manager. Went to several other airports in the area with same result. Went to other areas of Europe and all was fine. Uninstalled LFTZ add-on and then all airports were fine. Re-installed LFTZ and problem came back. Contacted Aerosoft, and all they have told me is to re-install. I have about a dozen ORBX sceneries that work just fine as well as three or four other developers’ offerings. I have a very high-end system and the sim runs beautifully – this is the only problem I have encountered. If all else fails, I would like to get a refund, but don’t even know how to do that!! Any ideas?
Same here. 10 EUR for nothing. This Marketplace is a very bad idea.
Refund: Just contest your credit card charge and tell the bank you received no working product. At least then someone will have to deal with it even if I doubt that we get out money back.
And just to anticipate the usual fan boys’ answer: This is the 21 century and these things are supposed to work. If you can’t assure they work and if you are not willing to address issues later after you collected the cash, then don’t sell your ■■■■ online.
I found the reason for the non functioning. I also have the Toulon area scenery add-on. If I deactivate it LFTZ works fine. Pity, as they are close to each other and should make for a nice area.
So no error on the publishers side, apologies.
Nevertheless, I am afraid that we may run easy into situations like this if add-ons are used.
I’m sure i’ve read somewhere before on here that this sim uses some form of scenery priority , so perhaps in this instance it prioritised the freeware over your payware addon. No idea how true that is (although plausible as X-Plane does) as I have no freeware scenery so not encountered the problem myself.
I’ve had a similar problem. When you buy an addon from the store, it puts it at the end of the Content.xml file. I’ve resorted to deleting my Content.xml file and letting MSFS recreate it on startup. MSFS seems to know best how to put things in the right order.
