I can’t get the autopliot heading bug or nav to work since the 1.5.9.0 update. I have tried removing everything from my Community folder and the problem persists.

I’ve only tried the G3000 in the TBM 930, but the selected heading mode changes to “roll” if I arm the Nav mode. Acts like it’s still in heading mode, but never intercepts the GPS course, and just keeps flying along the same heading. It’s a juggling act to get the HDG and NAV modes set to intercept the course, and then it won’t intercept it!

Heading seems to work fine but NAV not so much. looks like we are missing the ‘Toggle Autopilot NAV1 Hold’. What is there is ‘Autopilot Nav1 Hold’ is not working.

This explains it! I just had a weirdness with VNAV on an instrument approach in Zurich. I was puzzled as I can normally do this almost in my sleep, but I shrugged and assumed I messed up something. I had to go to a very rapid VS descent to “catch up” on the descent twice during the approach when the AP seemed to go off the rails. Also did some odd things once on the final approach: went high visually and according to the PAPIs while the ILS was showing LOC and GS were fine. Had to disconnect the AP early to finish the approach and landing.

I found this unusual as up to now with both 2020 and 2024 my approaches have been pretty much “bulletproof”. This thread now seems to indicate a sim glitch, not a me glitch!

Concur, I just tried with the Longitude as well and it’s a no go.

If you try to select a Direct To, as soon as you activate, you see your screens change then immediately change back. It’s like it wants to do it, but something immediately reverts it back.

A bug has been logged and it looks to affect almost all aircraft in this build.

I am loathe to be this person, but if it is affecting nearly every aircraft, why on Earth was this not caught before they pushed it to the public?

This sort of thing really needs to be improved internally.

I share @NixonRedgrave’s reaction. I generally enjoy the sim and there are good things which I regularly share on the forums. But stuff like this just batters one’s optimism and enjoyment.
