Can't View Entire Overhead Panel in a310

I’m trying to learn the iniBuilds a310 but I can’t get the top of the overhead panel in view. I can get a good close view of the majority of it -

If I zoom out, the top switches are so small I can’t click on them, making startup impossible.

I have not had a situation where I couldn’t access a part of the cockpit and setup a custom view except with these very large overheads. Any suggestions?

I typically do two custom views for larger overheads, including this plane (well, the A300-600 payware), JF Avro, etc. I also have the “Translate Cockpit View Forward” and “-Backward” mapped to buttons on my peripherals which enables me to move my view as well. Between the two, it becomes second nature to move around the cockpit.

The FS2020 defaults are Ctrl + Alt + [0-9] to set one of the ten possible custom views, and Alt+ [0-9] to load the custom view. But I have the Load commands set to various buttons on my yoke and throttle quads. (Every new plane I get, the first thing I do is set these up, using a similar pattern for all of them.)

Yes, I do the same. I have lots of buttons on my setup and can create a bunch of custom views. The problem is that I can’t maneuver, with mouse or keyboard, to where those top switches are visible. So I can’t save it. The only way I can even see the very top of that panel is by zooming way out at which point the buttons/switches aren’t workable. I don’t know how you can see that portion. I figure it’s got to be me…

Hmmm… I wonder if there’s something weird with the Ini 310 stock plane. After my current flight, I’ll load it up and see if I can repro.

Assuming I have the right plane, I was able to pan around with my usual buttons and create the two custom views below. Unsure of what’s going on with your situation.

Agreed, the proportions of the knobs and distortions (seen in their photos) seems like the OP has something set up with the camera (sim-wide setting) that is funky.

Another option you could try is to use the saved camera views that iniBuilds put into the camera section in the top menu bar (when you are loaded into the plane). You need to cycle through them. There are a lot. One of those views is an upper overhead view. When you’re there, you can then save it to one of the custom view buttons of your choice.

That solution makes sense. Thx! I figured there had to be one..
