Captain Sim C-130H V2 2.0.0 — HDG works, GPS/NAV does not follow the EFB flight plan

Hello everyone,

I am having trouble getting the Captain Sim C-130H V2 autopilot to follow a flight plan in Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024.

Configuration

  • Platform — PC

  • Simulator version — 7.2 FINAL 1.9.24

  • Aircraft version shown in My Library — 2.0.0

  • Flight-plan loading method — EFB → Load → Send Route to Avionics

Problem

The route appears in the EFB, but when I engage the autopilot with the settings below, the aircraft does not follow the route toward the next waypoint.

  • PILOT — ON

  • RADIO BEAM COUPLER — RANGE-LOC

  • FLT DIR — NORMAL

  • MODE SEL — NAV

Checks completed

  • HDG mode works. When I change the captain’s HSI heading bug, the aircraft turns toward the selected heading.

  • NAV selection is confirmed by the cockpit tooltip displaying “MODE SEL SWITCH — NAV”.

  • After selecting “Send Route to Avionics”, I do not see a confirmation or error message. I am unsure whether a message is expected.

  • I have not yet verified whether the aircraft’s navigation system receives the complete flight plan and has a valid active leg.

Questions

Has anyone successfully used GPS/NAV flight-plan tracking with the C-130H version 2.0.0 in MSFS 2024?

Is my loading procedure and autopilot setup correct? Is there an additional step required to activate the route or select the navigation source?

Is there a way to check which waypoint or flight-plan leg the aircraft’s autopilot is receiving?

I found an older thread on the Captain Sim forum titled “C-130J Nav not working”, describing a similar symptom in MSFS 2024. I would appreciate any experience specifically with the C-130H V2.

I have attached screenshots of the mode selector with the NAV tooltip, the autopilot panel and the EFB route.
