ISSUE DESCRIPTION

Description of the issue:

Career mode is a disaster. You filter by plane and it doesn’t work; you choose one, spend money on the transfer, and you can’t even fly it to do a mission. None of the filters work properly (in 2026 and 4 sim updates).

FREQUENCY OF ISSUE

How often does this occur for you (Example: Just once, every time on sim load, intermittently)?

Everytime

REPRODUCTION STEPS

Please list clear steps you took in order to help our test team reproduce the same issue:

  1. Play career mode (some missions don´t even appear)

  2. Select Cargo mission, filter by aircraft, accept the mission.

  3. And you can’t fly it because it doesn’t even recognize the plane.

YOUR SETTINGS

If the issue still occurs with no mods and add-ons, please continue to report your issue. If not, please move this post to the User Support Hub.

What peripherals are you using:

Honeycomb Alpha, Bravo, bla, bla, blah

[PC Only] Are you using Developer Mode or have you made any changes to it?

No developer mode

[PC, MSFS 2020 Only] Are you using DX11 or DX12?

[PC Only] What GPU (Graphics Card) do you use?

NOt a GPU issue, but hundreds of career mode bugs that you haven’t fixed yet

[PC Only] What other relevant PC specs can you share?

Dell XPS i7 32Gb…

MEDIA

Please add a screenshot or video of the issue occurring.

I had this too, where you select a mission and in the hanger it shows a completely different aircraft to the one you selected to fly.
My workaround was to back out of mission over and over until it gave me the right plane in the picture to match the upper rt square you have there.

Very, very irritating that Career mode has been so badly affected since SU4. So many issues in all the posts at the moment. I bet the new ps5 simmers are seriously happy (not) with this welcome to MSFS 2024!

Title updated to reflect what the issue is.

This reads a bit strangely. When you say ‘Filter by plane’ what action are you referring to? The description sounds like something that is occurring after selecting an aircraft (as opposed to the filter, which I would take as meaning the mission filters by type, specialisation so on).

Is the actual bug you are reporting the fact the incorrect label is appearing in the top right there? The information in the highlighted square must be the wrong because Saab 340 isn’t a Medium Cargo plane. Is the pictured plane correct (C408) or are BOTH things wrong?

Do the ‘manage my aircraft’ or ‘select aircraft’ buttons work or do they not do anything? Do they then go to the wrong aircraft?

I am guessing PC considering it has keyboard bindings (Tab key for EFB etc).

Ok interesting, I’ve just had something like this manifest.

I selected a PC24 to transfer to a destination. I have two in this company that were quite close. It has the incorrect plane model in the background (a PC12).

Manage my aircraft button thinks it’s the PC12 but it goes straight to this screen here (no maintenance etc) which is just a fragment of the UI, it’s missing the other bars and options with the technician.

but what is on site is definitely the PC24. Fly is greyed out, it is not selectable.

Left clicking (on PC) on the On Site aircraft and ‘selecting’ it has fixed the inconsistency, it is now showing the correct model, and the Manage Aircraft is correct. Fly is now selectable.

ISSUE DESCRIPTION

Description of the issue:

In career mode, when you filter by aircraft type, the missions displayed are incorrect. When you click “Accept Mission”, with the filter applied, the aircraft that appears is not the one you selected in the filter. Furthermore, aircraft are often stranded at an airport due to a lack of return missions.

FREQUENCY OF ISSUE

How often does this occur for you (Example: Just once, every time on sim load, intermittently)?
Everytime I fly career mode filtering by aircraft type. Some missions do match the applied filter, others do not.

REPRODUCTION STEPS

Please list clear steps you took in order to help our test team reproduce the same issue:

  1. Select Career mode

  2. Activate the filter by aircraft type and select one, then select one mission and accept it.

  3. The plane that appears for the mission does not correspond to the plane you selected in the filter. You can verify this; I filter missions by Cessna SkyCourier, and the plane that appears when accepting the mission is a Pilatus PC-12.

Is it the same issue than reported here ?: SU3 aircraft filter in Career mode

That looks like your in freelancer mode, that’s not a bug.

the filter doesn’t select the aircraft or only missions from the airport your aircraft is in , rather it just filters to missions that aircraft can do

Info is not complete. Does he own a pc12?
In career when you select mission type by plane, it doesn’t filter out all the others so if he does own a pc12, it’s the same bug.

Yes, I also have several Pilatus PC-12. No, I’m not in employee mode; I always fly my own planes. Yes, I assume it’s a filter bug; it doesn’t make sense. I don’t filter by mission type, only by aircraft, so only missions that the selected aircraft can perform should appear.

No, this bug is related to the mission filtering panel

If it is relating to the mission filtering panel, then it’s a separate bug from the one originally reported which was about the aircraft selector…

That’s why it’s confusing - because the issue originally reported was about showing the wrong aircraft model and name when you transfer it for a mission. If they are different issues they need different reports

Yes, I know, but I don’t moderate the forum. The second report has been merged into this one. Sorry

Yep I agree I thinks It’s a totaly different issue

Got it - can you explain what is happening?

The second issue I’m reading it as you select an aircraft in that filter (as per screenshot a C408), but then the missions that come up can sometimes not be done by a C408?

Yes, there are two separate bugs. The first occurs sometimes when you select a cargo mission with an aircraft like the Cessna Skycourier, and upon accepting the mission, as shown in the screenshot, a different aircraft appears—in this case, the Saab 340. The second bug is more directly related to how the filter works. If you filter only by aircraft, only missions that aircraft can fly should appear; however, missions for other aircraft, such as the Pilatus PC-12, are displayed. I hope I’ve explained myself clearly. And I hope the developers fix these minor bugs

I found that after accepting the mission it is showing me the closest plane I own to that mission even though I selected the 208B medium missions in the filter it will still show me the PC24, if the PC24 is closer to the mission I picked than any other plane I own. I can Select another aircraft then showing me my fleet that can do a medium mission even the planes that are bigger than needed. I then select the 208B and transfer it to mission site. Then click back and the PC24 will be showing then click back again to the Briefing where you will find 1 aircraft available. Accept mission again and the correct plane will be there in your hanger but it says it is a PC24 and shows me a 208B in the hanger. Managing aircraft at this point is useless, repairs and refueling is going to the wrong plane, the not on site plane. So I back out twice back to the world missions, the filters are still set and I reset the time I wanted and then select the same mission again and everything then works properly.

Trying to transfer closest aircraft even though the 208b is only in the filter.

208B showing but says it is a PC24, managing fuel now will fill the PC24 not the 208B in the picture / hanger.

Going back to the world map readjusting the time reselecting the same mission with the 208B on site already it then works.

This also happens to my C408 too if that plane happens to be the closest to the mission I am choosing.

I think most of us have this issue. Use add fuel but I also don’t know if it allows the mission to actually work with the wrong aircraft.
I also had to go in and out of the mission a few times for the correct aircraft to show.

no it does not. It will not let you start the mission probably because the plane it is accessing is not on site.

Yeah, I thought so. Seriously annoying that bug
