Career Mission - Refuel and Repair on mission

Add the ability to do stopovers at any airport on route while on mission in career mode. So someone could use aircraft with not enough range for the selected mission (Ferry Flight, Cargo Transport,…) and refuel aircraft on ground. Or do maintenance if e.g. the alternator fails 2h after departure and you got 2h to destination

That would be awesome!

What if the intended destination has heavy weather and IRL you should divert for safety sake? Right now the sim is forcing us to have ‘get-there-itis’. It would be an interesting addition that the harder missions might throw a curve ball at you with engine troubles or sudden severe weather.

What if you are halfway through a 3 hour flight on console and have real life get between you and your game? It would be nice to be able to land and get back to the mission at a later time.

A 5 star epically long ferry flight from America to Europe in a GA plane that you can take one leg at a time would be a great addition to the mission lineup. I’m specifically thinking of stuff like from the show Dangerous Flights.

Yes , please do this ! I was about to make a wishlist for this also just before I saw your topic.
I had a 4,5 hour career cargo mission in Japan, first one right after passing my exam , in a Cessna 172. With still about 180 Nm to go I had 6 gallons left. I don’t know why, maybe the absurd headwind cost me half my fuel ?
So I looked for the nearest airport with 6 gallons left , to refill and get on my route again. Landing on my last drops of fuel, I get a " Mission Failed" because landing on the wrong airport, game over.
Please MS/Asobo, if you read this, make it possible to do a pitstop to refuel and continue the mission.
In that way it can also be that you make missions more interesting , travel longer distances , and in that way avoid people flying over half the mission and get a " mission failed " because we ran out of fuel.
Thank you in advance and I really hope this can be done in a future update.
Happy flying and good day.
