Career Mode - C208 not selectable for cargo medium missions

ISSUE DESCRIPTION

Description of the issue:
Not able to select C208 for medium cargo missions.
After flying career missions (VIP Charter Introduction mission, and cargo medium mission) with PC12 leads since yesterday to AMD video driver timeout after round about 15 minutes of flight, I wanted to use one of my C208 for cargo missions.
I have currently 2 C208 and one PC12 within my cargo company,
If I start mission, only the PC12 can be transferred to dep airport.
After that I manually transferred a C208 to dep airport. But still only PC12 available.

FREQUENCY OF ISSUE

How often does this occur for you (Example: Just once, every time on sim load, intermittently)?

3. Set Crew on on one C208 and the PC12
4. Try to transfer or use C208 for cargo medium mission

The medium cargo missions are split between aircraft types.
Some missions are for the PC-12, others for the C208 etc.

I only got the C208, and mission selections are slim at the moment.
Lots of missions for the PC-12, PC-24 and Skycourier.

I don`t really get this game mechanic. I wish that you could choose what aircraft to use for all missions.

Ok confirmed. That’s the case. Do I really have to click on each mission and open the briefing to see if I got 600k transfer costs or 20k? Dependend on the aircraft type they want me to use. Anyway that doesn’t make sense cause C208 got more space and more max payload then the PC12. Also the C208 can land and or depart almost everyway on landside…

Please either add the information of aircraft type to be used while hovering over the mission icon on map. Or better provide information about payload weight, distance and runway length/surface type for dep and dest. So we can choose the aircraft best to use for.

Agreed. I just splashed out 3M on a 208 (with repair costs), and there a literally no missions available from my base in Spain. This is a totally lame game mechanic.

Same issue. No cargo missions for 208B available.

I have “Cargo Transport - Medium” specialization completed, and 2 out of 15 into Heavy.
There are plenty of Medium cargo missions available in the “Freelancer” tab, but not a single mission for the 208B.

Just sold the 208 because I can’t be bothered to wait for a fix. If it ever comes.
Oh well, that’s 1M credits down the drain.

What a buggy, misconcieved disaster of a mode.

Has great potential, and can be really fun. But, at the moment, just incredibly frustrating!

So are you saying that there ARE some cargo missions available for the c208? Cause I sold off my c172 for my cargo company, and the cirrus visionjet for my vip company, and only had the 208. And then there were no missions available at all in the world.

Bought a c172, and now the medium cargo mission in Japan showed up. Which doesnt make any sense, since the mission is flown in the c208…

Also, the game does a terrible job at differentiating between specializations, certifications and special unlock missions (gold/yellow missions). Ie. you might be told in the user interface that you dont have all the necessairy certifications, but what is really missing is doing the gold mission.

Like I said. Done the specialization, and into Heavy. Medium missions do appear, but none for the 208.

I had some missions show up in Europe and USA. Not many, but enough to grind some credits to move up to a faster plane.

Got the Skycourier after selling the C208, but still few missions.
The Skycourier was broken, so I had to sell it with a loss of 2m credits.

Got the PC-12, and all the missions popped up everywhere.

You need to do the yellow mission (the first one) to unlock the missions all over the earth.

I’ve done that one. There is no gold medium cargo mission on the map. And like I said, there are loads of medium missions on the map, just none for the 208.

For me how it sems to be working after having got the specialisation, and having done the first gold mission, and having bought a C208 in a cargo company.

On the mission map in employee mode, missions show with a preselected type - often not C208.
In freelancer mode, providing you already own a capable aircraft they appear with ‘No aircraft’, or ‘aircraft required’ (can’t quite remember) in red with the minimum transfer cost. Once you select that mission you get the option to transfer one of your planes (default nearest) or buy a new one. As far as I can tell any of the types for that mission type can be used.
I’m currently in my own C208 on a medium cargo run LFCC to LEJU.

Thanks for the feedback. I don’t know what’s going on. Maybe it just bugged out on me. But I don’t want to risk buying another 208. Just saving up for the PC-24. Good luck!

The gold mission is on Japan as employee. Do it and missions will start popping up all over the world.

I’ve done it, and I do have medium cargo mission. Just didn’t have any for the 208. That’s the point I’m trying to make.
It’s a moot point anyway, because I now have the PC-24, and I can get medium cargo missions for it. Although, I’m not much better off because that plane is even more buggy. It won’t even start in career mode.

I am unable to progress in career mode, done all required specializations and certification for both private charter and medium cargo missions, purchased the C208 but no missions for medium cargo flights are available.

If applicable, which aircraft is experiencing this issue:
C208, Vision jet

All the time - no options are available to fly charter or medium cargo missions anywhere.
