All missions, except for passenger ones, are scheduled between 10:00 AM and 2:00 PM. This is stupid. This isn’t a healthy idea on the part of the developer, even if it’s intended this way.
The funniest thing is, it was fine before the update.
The previous system on SU4 was much better, we had control on time for VIP mission, I enjoyed flying in my country on real time
This has to be fixed and extended to passenger transport (this has always been on preset time since SU2), or keeping the 2 systems, some mission are on preset time and some other are real-time
Changed career missions database to avoid night missions on airport without lights.
I believe this adjustment in Sim Update 5 is what mixed up mission generation and now Career mode doesn’t generate any missions at night. It’s one way to avoid missions at airports without lights…
You might be right.
I wonder whether those who work on career mode know how it should work.
I honestly suggest they should involve the community in turning this mode around.

Anyway, as to night missions I’ll add this here.
Please start missions during the natural night time as per the rotation of the earth. EG .. So if it is 10 pm (at night) in China, allow aircraft to start a mission at night .
If it is 03.00 in the morning in San Francisco (local time to San Francisco), allow a nighttime mission. If to a lit airport, the length of mission is immaterial!
A mission starting at 17.00 at Heathrow, can end a mission at an airport that has a lit runway where it is still nightime as per the earth’s rotation.
The length of missions is important to note.
Airliners and aircraft that have a destination to a lit airport may arrive at any time of the day. I.e. 24hrs a day.
N.B. Aircraft that land at unlit airfields need mission times ending while still light enough to land.
Edit. Missions that require daylight like skydiving, need daytime missions.
Missions like rescue could be both, dependant on the airport destination and lighting requirements.
Basically, the whole AI mission generation needs a rewrite and to be thought through before rushing a patch. Please consider an entire Beta fir this purpose.

I dare to assume from the above that, to avoid the hassle of generating missions in certain qualifications to random airports without lighting, etc., they decided to make the stupid decision to limit “all” flights in order to avoid the community’s outcry that he flew a Boeing onto a dirt runway.
Hi, well in Europe is the other way around in my case there are not day missions available, even the rescue ones which makes them unplayable !!!, does not matter if you change the time, the mission starts on nigh even if in the mission details says is a day mission !!!
I agree with you because indeed there is a mission type that can still start at night. Passenger Transport - Rotorcraft and I think that is due that you can perfectly land those airplanes without any runway including those without lights
After the latest update I’m unable to fly at night in Career mode, with any specializations. Even with live weather/proper time set to ON, every flight happens during the day.
Perhaps the best would be just to implement a Career-wide option to choose live time of day (for more money) and live weather (also for a bonus) or a preset, for any mission. Because weather is also often a limiting factor, especially when flying smaller aircraft. And one might have the opportunity to play at night but they wouldn’t want darkness in the sim, or vice versa. Just make it an option and apply bonuses for live conditions.
I think this issue extends to challenge league too. Being from Europe, since SU5, all the challenges from last week and 2 out of 3 from this week are taking place at night time.
Unfortunately I have a feeling that this is not a server side fix like the no live weather issue fixed right after SU5. We may have to wait until SU6 which is a major bummer for career mode as I really enjoyed night missions in the US, sunrise missions in Europe and sunset missions in New Zealand during my regular play time.

bind something to send k events CLOCK_HOURS_INC and/or CLOCK_HOURS_DEC and off you go (can also do CLOCK_MINUTES_INC/CLOCK_MINUTES_DEC) – more options:
I can confirm the bug and offer a workaround for consoles - board passengers, don’t start the engine. Then increase simrate to 64x and wait for the desired departure time. Set simrate back to 1 and enjoy your night flight.
But Asobo - please get that fixed and while you’re at it. Give us missions around the clock for all mission types. What is the problem doing so? I got my IFR clearance and want to make use of it.
