I had purchased a Saab 340 in career during the short time in SU4 where it seemed heavy cargo was available before it was rolled back. The Saab 340 now doesn’t show up as a career aircraft that is usable in any way. I can’t do maintenance on it to sell it (just greyed out all options on it in the aircraft management under company), it can’t be transferred either to any airfield (just shows a generic error when you try to transfer it).
The Saab was listed as a heavy cargo plane and purchasable until after SU5, and now when you go to buy a cargo plane, it is no longer in the list. Is it planned to be included for heavy cargo missions as it was before?

You had to have owned a saab 340 in career mode before SU5, then you can reproduce my issues after SU5. You can no longer purchase a saab 340 in career it seems.

It appears that the Saab 340 has been removed from Career for Cargo Transport - Heavy. It no longer appears in the Specializations menu, in the aircraft purchase menu for the Cargo company, and even on its Marketplace page (the various edition upgrades) it only shows for Passenger Transport - Airline.
I’m not sure if this is a bug or if it is the result of intentional config changes but I did point out recently that the Saab 340 didn’t seem like a good fit for Cargo Transport - Heavy given the current state of mission generation.
Is there any way for me to transfer the plane to a passenger company and still use it? Or is it because its currently “cargo empty” variant, that I’m just out of luck? I don’t have the money to replace it, do the support folks have the ability to move that plane to my charter company and change its configuration?
I have had this same issue since U5 dropped as well. Support had me doing all kinds of stuff on my PC which at my internet speed wasted DAYS of troubleshooting, and even uninstalling and downloading MSFS 2024 again which takes overnight at least to download. The sad thing is I specifically asked them if it worked for them and they never answered that but today, a full week later, they point me to this thread. I had already told them others on the FB forum also had the issue.
I put in my ticket after this thread was started.
I’d even be fine if I could just do maintenance so they can be used passively, and it is also required to be checked before we can sell them. I’ve got 6 of these SAAB 340 planes in this state.
Why did support point you to this thread when there’s no solution in it? Can they not just give the users affected the plane value in cash so they can at least go buy something else with it, or at least the passenger version to do airline missions with?
I can load without issue in career mode (PS5) BUT there is a major bug: PFD is not working. The plane is loaded with batteries ON and I feel that somehow is affecting all the system.
Yes, I confirm the bug for me too. Same after SU5.1, no Saab anymore available on cargo mission. But no worry, as reported in the other bug report, PFD is not working in career mode, so Saab is grounded..
Just wanted to test this out as I hadn’t experienced issues with the PFD before. It’s broken after a full cold & dark start, however this particular mission bugged out on the pushback phase and never progressed, so I used Skip to Taxi and now the PFD is running fine. Obviously still a bug that needs addressed, but could be a good enough workaround for some to not necessarily ground the aircraft entirely.
