[Career] TBM 930 always spawns with 0% fuel!

  • TEMPORARY BUG FIX:
    If you fly the TBM once in freeflight, then return to career, the issue will resolve itself for the remainder of the session. You will have to repeat this step every time you run MSFS24.

ISSUE DESCRIPTION

Description of the issue:
Okay to finish my stream of bug reports regarding the TBM 930 today, this one has completely stumped me. Please tell me if I’ve made an error somewhere, or whether it’s a bug.

In career charter missions, I’m loading into the airport with zero fuel in my aircraft.

  • I look at EFB in the missions page (before hitting ‘Fly’) → Aircraft properly loaded with fuel
  • I look at the EFB after spawning at the airport → Zero fuel, “You cannot modify mass and balance at this moment”
  • I follow procedure until batteries are enabled → Zero fuel, “You cannot modify mass and balance at this moment”
  • I use the ‘Communication’ tab to call in a fuel truck → It arrives, “You cannot modify mass and balance at this moment”, truck automatically decides to leave after about 10 seconds
  • I try using “Send flight plan to Avionics” from EFB → “You cannot modify mass and balance at this moment”
  • I reload into the flight and “Skip to taxi” → Zero fuel, engine cuts out immediately, “You cannot modify mass and balance at this moment”

To clarify, this is a company mission (I own the TBM 930 in my career).

If I’m doing something wrong then please let me know, I’ve had this issue with multiple flights now and I’m tempted to just enable unlimited fuel because at this point I’ve not actually been able to complete a flight in this aircraft.

As of about an hour ago, every flight. I only managed to fly 2 flights in the TBM, both ended in “Unexpected errors” that I’ve posted as separate bug reports already.

I was able to SET fuel using 50 (>A:FUEL TANK LEFT MAIN QUANTITY,gallons) 50 (>A:FUEL TANK RIGHT MAIN QUANTITY,gallons) in simconnect. idk why the add fuel quantity doesn’t work on this plane (realism?)

Yeah I tried that. Still no fuel even with unlimited fuel. I bought the plane, moved it to several locations, bought fuel prior to starting everything. I’ve spent a whole bunch of credits on this. Nothing I have done works.

I had this happen to me as well on my very first owned TBM charter flight. I found that going back to main menu, loading the TBM 930 in free flight and then using the EFB to set the fuel to max will allow there to be fuel in the career mode.

Seems to be initially defaulted to 0 fuel, but doing the above resets it.

The fuel is generally bugged in career mode across the board, but for the TBM specifically this worked. You’ll notice that regardless of the fuel amount you purchase in menu, the same default fuel levels will be loaded into planes when you start your mission. Hopefully this will be fixed soon.

Description of the issue:
Fuel of the TBM 930 in career as a company plane is always 0%. Add fuel quantity works for all other plane but this one.

•It seems every aircraft in Career Mode is fixed to an incorrect starting amount after spawning into the mission, no matter how much fuel the player brings in the management tab.
But TBM’s 0% fuel is absolutely the worst, making it completely unusable in Career Mode. I have tested it in Free Flight Mode, and the fuel setting there is normal and not glitched.
Also, TBM 930 is also not selectable for most Charter missions that belong to its own specialization category to start with in Carrer Mode as the other glitch with it - TBM 930 Cannot be used for most Charter Missions in Career Mode

I set the fuel quantity in the “Manage Aircraft” tab but when into the mission. Both the avionics and the EFB are telling me no fuel on board.

Restarted the mission and tried to transfer aircraft to other airports and still no fuel.

P.S. the fuel is loaded after I spawn in the free flight. BTW the livery looks strange.

Not quite the same. This issue is specifically with the TBM where it always spawns with 0% fuel. The issue you quoted is one with all aircraft where they spawn with 38-46% fuel and you cannot change it.

I believe the other issue is a career thing, because no-one (as far as I’m aware) is able to actually select their fuel prior to starting a mission and have it replicate into the actual sim when you start. It always defaults to ~46%.

This TBM issue has (as far as I’m aware) only been experienced with the TBM, and it’s consistent across all flights where you will always spawn with 0% fuel. The fact that the bugfix solution is to fly the TBM once in freeflight, then go back into career makes me think that it’s an issue specifically with the TBM and how it’s being managed in the career mode.

Have a look at the ‘temporary’ fix that has been mentioned by others and I’ve attached to the top of the post. It’s not ideal, but should let you fly it at least.

Ah that’s unfortunate. Thankfully it’s been working mostly fine for me. Hopefully they fix it in the next update, although it sounds like serious issues are starting to crop up for quite a few other aircraft at the moment.

• YES

• Zero fuel on mission start with TBM 930 and Optica planes. No ability to add fuel with ADD FUEL key binding and from EFB. Fuel stays zero.
