The 2 main screens (G1000) will not brighten up. If I remove the G1000 Mod they will brighten up.
Thanks – good to now … let the g1000 mod people know ,a nd tehy may be willing to try to make their mod compatible with the quirks of the Carenado G1000, but that is a moving target if/wen Carendao do any updates .
The real question is … Is Carenado usuing
( a ) their own g1000 code
( b ) the ASOBO default
( c ) The Asobo default + their own Mod !!!
If (a) does it NEED the mod ???
Also, the cynthetic vision is not available in the 182.
It is, if you are using G1000 by WT.
Still no synthetic vision or brightness control using the WT G1000.in the 182T. Without the WT the G1000 is too dark and still no synthetic vision.
The brightness knob on the lower-left pane is indeed out of order, yet there is brightness control - just hit the Menu button on the PFD, you have brightness control over both the PFD & MFD.

You have to enable it through the left G1000 screen. I forgot what the option is called but I believe it’s under PFD options on the left. It’s abbreviated, something like SynVis or something along those lines.
