ISSUE DESCRIPTION

Description of the issue:

Hello, has anyone tried to fly at high flight levels?

I’ve tried to depart SELT Cotopaxi, runway 19 at elev. 9000 ft. According to the manual, I have selected maximum climb, 2235 rpm, full throttle and full rich below 16000 ft.

Doing this, it is impossible to climb, I have to lean the mixture continiously.

Once at FL180, manifold pressure went to 15 inHg, and I was unable to keep a leveled flight.

If applicable, which aircraft is experiencing this issue:

Cessna 404 MSFS 2024

[PC Only] Did you remove all your community mods/add-ons? If yes, are you still experiencing the issue?

Yes, it happens with no external addons.

FREQUENCY OF ISSUE

How often does this occur for you (Example: Just once, every time on sim load, intermittently)?

It happens when flying at high altitudes (FL180 or so).

REPRODUCTION STEPS

Please list clear steps you took in order to help our test team reproduce the same issue:

  1. Take off from Cotopaxi (SELT), runway 19.
  2. If climbing at “MAXIMUM CLIMB” power settings, the aircraft is unable to climb, having to lean the mixture.
  3. Once FL180 is reached, and adjusted cruise power settings, manifold pressure drops down to 15 inHg.

Yep just did a flight and it was like the turbochargers were not engaged. Only getting 25” MP at 6000ft like a normally aspirated engine.

Unable the to reproduce.

You do need to lean lean earlier than expected as per the POH but tester was able to fly cruise FL200 at manifold 31 and RPM 1900.
