I will also test out the transponder connectivity which is supposed to be fixed. Details to follow.
Can finally get my teeth into that one.
Works fine here also.
I’m flying right now. All buttons and switches, including boost pump are working without CTD. I’m currently using the autopilot, which is also working without a problem. The transponder does not connect to my Saitek radio panel. I put in the code using the panel, and no corresponding change to the plane’s transponder (This does work in the default planes). I was able to punch in the code using the plane’s transponder…and ATC recognized it! I have no complaints (well only one minor one) now. I would like the Saitek Panel to work properly.
Upon further study…The transponder is still broken.
I take it back. The transponder is still broken. Everything else is working well.
The autopilot works!! I’ve not tried all functions but most of the main ones. If there are bugs (transponder) I will need to try, but at least it is working for the most part.
The transponder is just as before, doesn’t connect with ATC.
In the middle of an IFR from EGTB to EGNM with P2ATC and everything is working fine!
I’ve seen reports of the transponder not working on the Mooney.
You were absolutely right! I hadn’t actually updated the sim.
All good here; GJ Asobo.
Cheers
No more CTD, thank you!
However, I flew for 3 hours and although initially AP worked fine, at some point it “gave out”. It suddenly banked all the way to the left then increased elevator trim all the way up. After recovering manually, re-enabling AP immediately put full trim up every time. I had to hand-fly the rest of the way.
That could be a AP issue that is supposed to be resolved in the next MSFS patch.
Autopilot issues will be part of sim update 3 and is expected to release February 20th next year.
So they have some time to really investigate all issues with AP for all kind of aircraft.
So until that day we have to live with these issues unfortunately.
For the Mooney I did not encounter this issue yesterday in my testflight, but it was a 1,5 hour flight.
Yes !! I also tried and everything works on the panel, no more CTD. One thing is still to be updated : The G530 ! many things are missing… But it’s a pleasure to fly on the Monney again
Hello all !
Sorry if I missed the information, but on the real aircraft, the MP gauge shows a decimal, to be able to set the MP as per the POH more precisely. Also, it is the case on the XP11 version of this aircraft.
Does someone know a way to add that decimal to the MP gauge in MSFS ?
Thank you for your help.
Best regards,
Tim
I have many flight hours on Mooney Ovation, and I confirm that we use spoilers many times during descent, this allows not to exceed VNE (!) and to keep the engine running at a high AP and then not cooling too much. The use of spoilers in final is also possible BUT with extreme caution, and on the rollout I also did it sometimes but it’s really for fun as they are no more efficient.
Thanks a lot for the complete test. I’ve done some similar testing, but on fewer conditions (ISA atmosphere, 8000 and 2000ft, 55%, 65% and 75%, ROP and LOP).
My findings are that the fuel flow are pretty good when ROP, but a little bit too high (0.5 to 1Gal/h) on the LOP side.
Also the cruise speed is quite high (5 to 10kts too high).
So a bit too much fuel flow when LOP and a bit too much speed, but quite good all together actually.
Maybe the thread title should be changed to include “Fixed with 1.11.7.0”, or similar.
KSBA → KSJC
no crashes, nothing strange.
All looks good after this mornings patch was installed.
