Their indifference to their customers is what bothers me the most. I understand if they have technical difficulties but I don’t understand their disregard. I wrote them the day the update hit to inform them of what I found. I took the time to talk with them. Why don’t they do the same? Do they know that every day when I start the sim I go looking to see if there’s an update? Do they care about my frustration? I think not.
I know what good customer service is. This isn’t it. The only way I can show my disdain for their behavior is with my wallet. I won’t be purchasing any more from this company. I like the aircraft but I can’t support the company.
Between Carenado’s reaction time and communication and the delays in getting Marketplace updates published, I have pulled the trigger on the Just Flight Piper PA-28R buying it direct from Just Flight.
When the M20R works I may fly it. But the Just Flight Piper PA-28R is now my primary complex GA aircraft.
At least until the A2A Aerostar 600 comes out, whenever that happens, then those two will have to split time.
What really drove me toward the Carenado products initially is they where better than 1st party planes at launch and where complex GA aircraft with steam gauges. I waited for a sale as I assumed they where going to be stop gap aircraft until there was a better option.
I was also set to buy most stuff through the Marketplace but for many reasons I have shifted away from that as well. I wish I could go back and buy the CRJ direct from Aerosoft. But at least Aerosoft updates seem to get published to the Marketplace the next Thursday after they are released.
i also got the mooney when it was on sale. i suppose i got my money’s worth out of it, but still disappointed at Carenado with their almost non-existent support of this aircraft. don’t see myself purchasing another of their products unless that changes, plenty of other creators who do update constantly.
I have this plane and also the Cessna 182T, they work well. Why there is no solution in sight for the M20R Ovation ? In the begenning, it was a excellent product.
A fair point on your part, but the fact remains that Just Flight fixed their product days after the release of SU5, and Carenado has yet to do anything about the Mooney.
If they really don’t care then it’s important we reflect that in the in-game Marketplace reviews to warn off would be customers from this flawed product.
In case you don’t know, you can change your review of your purchased product.
I was not aware of that, and will do so the next opportunity I get. I would feel especially bad for anybody who purchased the plane now, only to discover they can’t use it.
As to their lack of caring, I have no direct evidence, but their lack of response in addressing this issue has certainly left me feeling uncared for as a customer.
