oh ok, sorry, need to wait for the update then.
They stated on their facebook page they are working to fix the issues.
The Carenado Mooney M20 and the Aerobask Phenom 300 - highest priority right now on DLC plane wishlist
Goood these are awesome looking planes, one is an absolute high-speed-prop classic with superb looking cockpit and very interesting analogue engine gauges, and the other would be something Captain Picard or Archer would fly because it makes the Enterprise-Shuttles look outdated. I love these planes both.
The Mooney is truly superb I have watched many review videos about this beauty.
The cockpit looks cosy and somehow nostalgic-technical, difficult to discribe. Reminds me of the Mooney Bravo from FSX but way more beautyful.
Yeah, it has that retro 80s feel to it with red LCD digits and dials. I canât wait till itâs fixed and I can fly it again with some synthwave in the background
Confirmed also on my side.
Fixes for all Planes are underway:
I do like their reference to âOther Developers,â but they should be cautious about comparisons. Just Flight came out with a fix for their aircraft just days after the release of SU5.
To be clear, itâs the article writer, not Carenado, saying that.
I still highly recommend it (especially with my cockpit texture patch which I am going to upload today).
The Carenado Mooney M20 and the Cessna 337 Skymaster are the best.
Yes, because Just Flight is not selling via the Marketplace. Carenado has sent the updates to Microsoft several weeks ago. Itâs not their fault when Microsoft isnât able to operate the Marketplace properly. Apparently we have to wait yet another week:
Always issue with fuel selector on the Ovation Carenado ⊠I like this plane and I donâ understand why it takes so long to fixe this problem.
So, as has been said in the past, typically Carenado has been basically upgrading their FSX aircraft for use in MSFS. Iâm sure they did all new textures, and likely spruced up the models and of course have converted them to gltF format, but, for avionics, for those avionics and systems that they didnât use default Asobo objects, they did a mix of just using old FSX methods and other things for the gauges and avionics.
As Asobo moves further and further away from supporting the old methods, stuff breaks. The Mooney was one of the first planes they released, so, itâs likely theyâre having to rewrite some code and are in the process of learning new things about the way things work these days.
IOW, itâs a process. Iâm imagining thereâs more broken than just the fuel switch, and theyâre going through it thoroughly. I imagine they fixed up their later planes first and probably recently moved to fixing the Mooney. It will eventually be fixed.
Hereâs a response from another developer on what happened to the Mooney. Basically, Asobo changed/rewrote a bunch of templates and didnât tell anyone, and now the developers are having to figure out what the changes are and adjust their code accordinglyâŠ
The Mooney Ovation is my favorite FS2020 airplane BY FAR. However I am no longer able to move the Fuel Selector away from off. The plane still flies but it only uses fuel from the left thank I HATE THIS!!
This was never a problem until the update before the current one. Iâve heard this mentioned in the forums but since this is not a major topic, Iâll assume that Iâm doing something wrong. I donât think I am though because I flew the Mooney for months without this problem. Any suggestions?
The Mooney is my favorite touring plane, as well: fast, sleek, good range, great performance. But, yes, the fuel tank selector issue and the speed brake toggle issue are troubling. I did contact them and they say they are on it. Fuel you canât do anything about, but you can set âextend speed brakesâ and âretract speed brakesâ to two different buttons do at least get speed brakes working.
Meanwhile, I am looking at the Trinidad TB-21 which is a beautiful, fast, sleek touring plane. Not necessarily to replace the Mooney (because the bugs WILL be fixed), but just because itâs a nice plane.
I like that too. It has just the right mix of steam gauges and glass panels. My mind can actually fly better with steam gauges. Their analog nature report the rate of change to me in an intuitive way.
Thanks for the explanation, itâs incredible as a situation. Asobo decides to sell third-party products on its Marketplace but then does not inform about changes that will impact these products.
The M20R is my favorite too. I have the tb21 too, but it has not the same âaureaâ.
I might understand the coder explaination but Iâm not very happy about the Carenado communications: too lacky.
Hope my âMooneyâ will coming back soon!!!
Carenado! Please show you up!
Another dev update, another week without the Mooney. Sigh.
I bought Mooney the moment it came out and while I agree that it is a beautiful plane to fly, it was broken more than 60% of the time since release to this day. I donât know any 3rd party plane that was grounded for so long, but then again it was among the first ones to release while SDK was still young and it had to be in development even before MSFS release so it may carry bunch of legacy code that will get fixed at some pointâŠ
