Carenado PA44 Seminole Incorrect Speeds

I have noticed quite a few discrepancies between the performance of the Carenado PA44 Seminole on MSFS2020 and real life. Generally the Carenado Seminole performance seems to be exaggerated.

  1. The climb performance seems excessive on take-off.

  2. 23"MAP/2300RPM clean config should cruise at 140kts, Carenado is at 150kts

  3. In a hold at 20"MAP/2300RPM clean config should be at 120kts, Carenado is just below 140kts.

  4. Final approach on an ILS at 15"MAP/2300RPM gear down, flaps 10 should be at 95kts, Carenado is at almost 105kts. Even after increasing flaps to 40 as I descend on final, I’m finding I’m noticeably faster than the aicraft would be in real life. I’m basically having to pull the power back to 10", sometimes even nearing idle halfway down final to avoid getting too fast, which it’s ideal.

Obviously, in practice I’m going to fly for a certain speed and therefore adjust the power as required, however, it would be much preferred if the Carenado Seminole more accruately matched the real aircraft, I don’t remember this same level of discrepancy when flying the FSX version back in the day.

Just wondering if anyone else flying the Seminole has noticed this and if there are any fixes for it.

Thanks

In my experience, Carenado has been known more for their visuals, and not so much by-the-book performance numbers. For me, as long as it feels “believable,” I’m fine with it.
