Carenado Piper Arrow CTD help please!

Hi
Does anybody is experiencing crash to desktop when initializing a flight with the Carenado Piper Arrow?

it is happening to me everytime I try to use it…

Sent a ticket to zendesk but has been 10 days already without a solution…

please help.

you might have to delete the aircraft and then re-download it - are you using the Steam access to MSFS or did you buy it from the MS Store?
You can research how to delete MSFS aircraft depending on which installation you have.
Then re-download it in its entirety from the marketplace.

Ive tried:

  • All zendesk suggestions.
  • deleting and reinstalling the aircraft
  • reset MSFS
  • performed a total clean reinstallation of the simulator.
  • all settings back to default.
  • bought it from MS Store.

no deal, sim goes CTD when loading the flight.

only happening with the arrow… no other addons or mods are installed.

pleas please help

You said you reported this to Zendesk but have you reported it to Carenado support?

Carenado. Isn’t supporting msfs products the traditional way… They say to send a zendesk ticket only… I’ve tried to contact them via Twitter and Facebook with no response.

I had this problem with the Seminole. Disabling AI traffic solved it for me.

It worked, I wonder how you ended up figuring out the problem…

although sad looking empty airports it’s certainly better than not being able to fly at all!

Glad it worked for you! I didn’t figure it out myself, I just read about it on the forums. Supposedly you can also try enabling traffic with a lower density but I haven’t verified this myself.

I’ve tried with many levels of AI traffic… with all it went CTD, it seems the aircraft is fully non compatible with traffic… either way thanks to you sir,… its solved! thank you very very much!

I have the same issue, solved it by loading a default aircraft first to the airport parking or runway and then loading my Carenado. Using this method you can also use the AI at 100%

It’s a known issue in MSFS since its launch…

I do not own the aircraft yet, and I will not buy it before I know if it will work with Live Traffic, so I would be grateful if someone could confirm whether it works or not.

When they said create a “Zendesk” ticket (I HATE that term), they meant please use THEIR Zendesk support system. The little greyed out really hard to see menu item in the top right of their homepage at Carenado.com that says something like “Create Support Ticket”.

Zendesk is a product, not a place. It’s a software help support system (with really weird terms, like “Solved” which only means somebody did something with your ticket (who knows what, they never say)) Both Carenado and Microsoft use it.

And don’t be put off by their responses. They have a bunch of “canned” responses that go out that say things like “Sorry, we don’t provide support for things like that”, when, in fact, they do, and very likely actually did something with your ticket.
