Carenado Piper PA-28,
I’m not able to tune the frequencies on the GPS, the rotary buttons don’t work. The problem started after installing the last msfs update. Does anyone else having this same problem?

Seems to be happening tp the PA44 and the CRJ also.

Have set the cockpit integration to legacy.

Thanks for the tip, but even changing to legacy the problem remains. At CRJ I have other problems but not this specific situation.

Carenado announced days ago all of their add-ons except the Cessna 170 and Waco biplane will need to be patched for SU5.

Hi Guys,

It is also impossible for me to use my GARMIN 430 in my PA28 from Carenado even in legacy mode…
Some ideas?

Just to add that the same GPS works in the PA28 JustFlight version!!!

All the staff who can add content to the Marketplace are aparently on holiday till at least tomorrow.

Presumably once they get back they will start dealing with the backlog of new and updated modules but it may take some time for any specific content to be added.

Been in contact with Carenado. They cannot give a eta for the fix if at all…
Difficult to recommend this company

Agreed. Carenado has taken a reputation hit.

Aside: Is it legal to continue selling a product on the MS Marketplace knowing full well that the product is currently broken?

Carenado has had this reputation for years and years. I haven’t seen any decrease in their sales along the way…

If they felt it was important to their business, I’m sure they’d change their ways. They haven’t.

There is no law that says a mod has to work when it’s for sale on the Marketplace. Especially when the reason it doesn’t work is beyond the control of the authors and responsibility for the issue that caused said issues lies with changes made in the base software.

I’m sure if the authors had stopped updating their wares, they’d come down. But, they’re working on it. Asking for an ETA is like asking how long it’s going to take to get to Europe from NY, but you have no idea how you’re going to make the trip, much less have a route to get there.

Fixes will come soon enough.

Oh well. Lesson learned I guess. I’ll stop buying products from MS Marketplace.
