Cargo Medium. Difference between planes?

Get the pc24, check both runways in the tablet before accepting the mission.
900 feet to take off 700 to land.

Less if you take off with low fuel and cheat it in after.

For a cargo company, how do you get the PC-12 or other planes besides the 208 to do medium cargo? Right now, the only planes available to me to purchase (used) are the 208 and 172. Do you have to buy the other ones new?

Yes you must purchase them new.

For PC-12 short-field landing, I do it with very little fuel on board, full flaps, reverse throttle when entering the runway, and stall warning when touching ground. Purely simulation only operations. Fixing landing gear is alway better than risk of overrun.

Sometimes it’s really crazy. Look at this madness: First screenshot - believe or not, airplane is on the runway. I need to take off from here. Second screenshot - There is an airport under the flying airplane, I must land there. No runway at all, no apron, just few aircraft staying in jungle.

Moved to User Support Hub as the OP requested assistance.

It never happened to and I fly almost all my medium cargo in the middle of Africa. But I always check the start and landing location in the first mission screen on the map for how the runway looks.

I mean this just seems so obvious right?

I am flying the PC-12 (love it by the way) and I use littlenav map, I will make sure the destination runway is about 2000ft/600m as a minimum.

I could possibly land even shorter, but I would be out of my comfort zone and its not worth the risk of trashing your plane.

Yes, I waste 10min finding a mission that have enough runway lenght. Its a shame that it does not have a filter.

Thank you, I thought the payouts where different for every plane, I’ve been really afraid to pick the wrong ones and I was told the grand caravan was the money maker.

yes, but I have a lot of troubles with it.
Wobbling during taxi if you use brakes, shaking with the wind.
So I save some money and change to the PC12.
It’s way better, I recommend.

Well I got the PC-12 today and I’d say absolutely it’s better to fly than the Caravan. I like the Caravan and I hope it gets improved, but having flown the PC-12 it’s just smoother and more reliable. It took me a while to get familiar with the avionics (I still haven’t) but it just handles so much more reliably. I’d agree with the clown bloke, go for it when you can.

Yes, I do exactly the same with Little Nav Map! It’s invaluable for altitudes.

I did it, and its working fine, thank you for the tip. Just need to take care on the take off, i crash the plane in a short runway, I dont remember the lenght now, but V1/rotate was called on the limit of the runway and I hit some trees after pulling up.
Would flap 15 short the take off? I did not tried.

PC-12 is perfect for medium cargo. The PC-24 takes off and lands at higher airspeeds which isn’t ideal for short runways. The PC-24 has speed brakes but doesn’t have reverse thrust as far as I know but the PC12 does have reverse thrust which is also ideal for short runways. The PC24 wheels also don’t turn once you land if you skip cruise so your grade will be lowered since you have to drive off the runway so you can skip to shutdown.

I still prefer the 24 to the 12. It’s faster in cruise. I can land on runways as short as 600m though that probably requires practice. Take-off with low fuel and cheat in fuel if you want to get off in 700m.

PC-12 Can be landed in 200M. Take off you need about 500M-550M.

Good point about the fuel, probably this would help me from crash that time.
