msfs-2024 i have had a major issue with pc 2024 my cargo mission using the cessna 208B keeps crashing over and over. I have tried to fly these to complete my 15 prerequisites for the large cargo missions. Each time i fly the caravan, the engine cuts off and the plane crashes as I can’t restart the engine and it hits the ground i have had this happen 5 times in a row
You must be leaving one of the switches off or you are not managing thrust/prop and conditioner.
I fly her often and apart from the landing wobble and mid air wobbling we complete missions.
Can you post pictures
How long into the mission does it cut off
.
Can you provide more details
Can you fly the Caravan well enough outside of Career mode?
I’m thinking there could be a binding issue somewhere as well.
What do you think that might be? Which bindings?

Seriously funny

Condition lever is the biggest suspect in that regard. But it doesn’t have to be logical - the stock aircraft are full of bugged dependencies.
Need more info from OP - when you say “cuts off,” does it completely stop turning? Or does it get stuck at idle or go into reverse? What do the power controls (throttle, prop, and condition lever) look like during that sequence? Same question for the engine gauges.
Do you have both your fuel selectors open, and you are drawing from both fuel tanks? the SIM remembers your last settings so if one is set to off and you are only drawing from one tank you’ll run out of fuel on cargo missions. They can be found in the top panel.
Yes, I was wondering about the condition lever too but for a different reason. I find that with a mouse if you click to try and move from slow idle to fast it suddenly goes into cut. Ps5 anyway.
Scroll wheel, if it has one, may be easier to manipulate it.
Let’s try the obvious first. is there a chance you are running out of fuel?
I fly the caravan in career mode and never had that issue
@Valetosky says worth checking. Remember if you are flying into a headwind you will burn more fuel than the recommended allocation. So you need to account for that.
No sir not running out of fuel electronics shuts off been having this issue for a long time now, was flying today and even the new aircraft is doing it as well
Try flipping the fuel selector switches from ON to OFF to back ON again. Also test it with nothing in hour community folder (if you’re on a PC).
As stated previously, its not the fuel its the electronics they turn off by themselves it happens on all my aircraft. At first i thought it was the fuel but its at capacity before the flight, there is no reason for it that i can see, my gear drops, flaps drop and then the electronics go off
What about the alternator. Is it’s maintenance up to date? Batteries?
In free flight or in career mode only?
Have you turned the starter off?
There are known bugs with either logitec throttle or thrustmaster airbus peripherals especially if there are conflicts.
Check circuit breakers
Had you mentioned this happens to all aircraft before? I have missed that in that case. That’s a very important bit of info, and makes the 208 less relevant.
Do the electrics turn off without you doing anything? If not it could be a double binding, like a button(s) that you press at some point during your flight, and this may or may not do the thing you want, but may also disconnect the battery, for example. Since it was happening in the 208 we can probably safely exclude a gear up command. ![]()
