Catering tucks service and follows me non-stop, if I pushback to a taxiway, even if it can’t reach me my doors will get opened and closed automatically. Sometimes multiple catering trucks and tow trucks will spawn, and multiple trucks will try to service me.
Requesting catering service, then end the service in the ATC menu does nothing, opening and closing my doors manually does nothing.
With the default Asobo A32N, spawned cold a dark, catering truck stands still, I flip the engine switch to ON, then instantly the catering truck starts to move and wants to service me. Seems like a coding logic issue?
Things I’ve done, I’ve removed the contents of the community folder, removed AppData\Roaming\Microsoft Flight Simulator, removed Steam\userdata\xxxx\1250410, and reinstalled the game. Yet the issue still persists, so I’m thinking its a Microsoft flight simulator issue, but it seems like only I have this bug. I’m completely out of ideas to fix it. Please help.
It happens at every airport if the gate is a jetway, if I spawn in an “empty parking space” then its fine, that’s simply because those parking spots don’t spawn pushback truck and catering trucks for me.
But if i take off and land in another airport, taxi to an empty jetway gate, after a minute a lone catering truck will spawn, then the same bug happens again.
Is it possible there is a short key assigned to the catering truck you are unknowingly hitting?
I know when I reinstalled the game, my control options were not reset. Maybe also try unplugging keyboard, yoke/joystick, mouse and see if anything fixes. Or reset everything to default. Just guesses here
That’s probably because that file is just a backup file. Your actual keybinds are stored in the cloud. So by deleting that file, the sim will just download the same keybind and recreate the same file again in there.
The only way for you to reset your keybind is to use the MSFS UI under Control Settings, and delete all your current control profile on all your connected hardware. Then rebind everything again.
Ok, found whats causing it, its the key press Alt+C.
Even though there I removed the keybind, and using a new clean profile with 0 control binding, the catering truck still triggers on Alt+C
That is really weird, a hidden keybind to call catering truck?
Even if it was a keybind, why were you pressing ALT+C in the first place? Even if it’s a hidden binding, as long as you don’t press it, they won’t trigger at all, right?
I play DCS mainly, alt+c is to toggle clickable mouse and view panning, I changed bindings so it does the same thing in MFS. And I have alt+c bound to a button on my mouse.
The default right click pan is fine for me, but I use the PMDG 737s mouse option, right click is to flip switch up in the 737. So I had to rebind right click to pan.
I manually removed the hidden keybind lines from the config it doesn’t trigger now.
sorry to revive this old thread - I have the same issue - I’ve had the misfortune of binding Alt+C to recentre headtracking, because I foolishly thought it wasn’t bound to anything.
Where did you find this file, so I can try and remove those lines? I really don’t want to destroy more than a year of muscle memory because this game has this stupid hidden bind
Find where ur controls files are located, I’m on steam so its steam installation folder userdata\xxxxxxx\1250410\remote.
Edit them with notepad, find your keyboard profile and find KEY_REQUEST_CATERING command and remove that part.
