So i just tried this today again with the new updates on the 787 and it still cant center by pressing number 5
The 787 is one of the main planes many flight simmers fly in the simulator. The inability to center the flight controls renders the plane useless and un-flyable.
- Why doesnât Microsoft prioritize a fix for this?
- Enhancements aside, isnât it important for Microsoft to ensure that the core set of planes that come with the simulator are fully functional?
- This issue presented itself in 2023. 2024 is almost over. Does Microsoft simply not care?
If you didnât notice, at the top it is marked âbug loggedâ.
This is the description for that:
The issue reported by the community has been successfully reproduced by our test team and turned into an official bug. The bug is now being assigned, prioritized, and worked on for a future fix.
So it will be fixed.
Another item to note is that it doesnât seem to affect too many users.
The issue has only gathered seven votes.
That tally would certainly affect the priority of the fix as well.
Thanks for the clarification. Good to know that it is logged. Even though only 7 users may have noted or reported it, this bug affects all users who use the keyboard.
The 787 was working when the sim was first released. It broke after an update. It is quite annoying that it had remained outstanding after more than a year.
OK, I thought Iâd give it a try, and it certainly doesnât center for me either, so Iâve added my vote as well!
Thanks for bringing this up again.
So itâs been more than half a year and this is still broken
possibly ıs there any fixes for this issue on su 3 2024 and 2020 update?
Is there a fix for this, if so can someone put a youtube video of the fix
This issue was first reported in 9/2023. It is already 12/2025 and the issue still exists! Does MSFT have any pride in the software it puts out??? Shameful!
It has been more than a year. The issue still exists. This issue mpacts the usability of that airplane significantly.
I wish I could be more help!
I do note that the report is tagged âbug loggedâ which is a good sign.
It means Asobo has been able to reproduce the issue as well, and an internal report has been generated to correct the issue.
I would suspect that after the release of SU4, staff may have the time to work on items such as this.
I have been using MSFS since the 80s. The older versions, while not as advanced, had consistent core functionality. The recent versions, FS2020 and FS2024, were the first versions that could be continually updated.
In addition to this, I raised a separate issue where the left inboard aileron for the 747-800 does not correctly reflect controller input: 747-800 - Left inboard aileron (flaperon) behaving incorrectly
MSFT must regression test updates thoroughly to ensure that new functionality does not break existing functionality, especially core functionality. Having the ailerons display movement that is consistent with controller input is core functionality. Basic, core functionality should be consistent and preserved across updates.
MSFT must validate the QUALITY of their updates.
You and I have been simming for about the same amount of time.
The vote tally probably isnât making it very high on the priority list, but I still am hopeful that this is something that will be looked into.
