"Center ailer rudder" keyboard mapping doesn't work for Boeing 787-10 Dreamliner

 Thank you using the Bug section, using templates provided will greatly help the team reproducing the issue and ease the process of fixing it.

Are you using Developer Mode or made changes in it?

No

Which aircraft are you using that experiences this issue?

Boeing 787-10 Dreamliner

Brief description of the issue:

When playing in keyboard, it’s not possible to center alierons and rudder

Provide Screenshot(s)/video(s) of the issue encountered:

Detailed steps to reproduce the issue encountered:

Start a flight using Boeing 787-10 Dreamliner.
Make sure keyboard mapping “Center ailer rudder” is set to default “NUM 5” key.
Turn the yoke left or right, and press numpad 5 key. Nothing will happen.
Now press left or right rudder pedal, and press numpad 5 key. Nothing will happen.

There’s a workaround for the rudder issue: Just map “Center Rudder” to “NUM 5” key.

For the ailerons, no workaround I’m aware of.

Mapping “CENTER AILERON” to “NUM 5” key causes problem with Citation Longitude (see: https://forums.flightsimulator.com/t/fixed-by-remapping-longitude-ailerons-cant-be-controllated-properly-with-keyboard-when-center-ailer-rudder-is-used/579919 )

PC specs and peripheral set up:

Keyboard is Corsair K95 Platinum

Are you using DX11 or DX12?

DX12

Are you using DLSS?

No

If relevant, provide additional screenshots/video:

Why not create separate profile one for 787, and another for Citation Longitude? That way it can work both ways while changing profile.

The way I’ve setup the mapping (as shown in the screenshot) works for both planes.
The problem is ailerons can’t be centered in any way for the 787.

Did you have the num Lock button on?

Yes.

Num Lock is active, and other planes are working fine with this very mapping setup, except for Boeing 787-10 Dreamliner, where there’s no way to center ailerons using the keyboard mapping.

that bug is super annoying.

all ruder controls work fine in the 787 left, up, right, down - but it does not center itself on hitting Num 5 as it should. Btw it works for all other planes, but not for the 787 since the recent update.

Also getting rid of potential other Num 5 presets didnt change anything.

super annoying.

even after yesterdays update the CENTER RUDDER (NUM 5) DOES STILL NOT WORK !

I created a new control profile:
Num 5 center rudder

works for:
A320
F18
747

does not work for:
787

same profile. this has something to do with the airplane, not with the controls profile

Same problem

Are you using DX11 or DX12?

Both of them the same result

Are you using DLSS?

Not relevant

Still broken as of writing this comment. Num 5 has no problem on the A320 and 747. Needed to use a gamepad just to fly the 787 because it’s broken again

I’ve tested every builtin plane (except some reno expansion “duplicates”) and no other plane has this problem.

Hi yes I have to agree I have tried so many things and the issue still persists. Microsoft team should really look into this when they do their updates. This should be a easy fix for them.

Also this is affecting users who bought the game through the Xbox store…

Hi just wanted to ask if this issue has been fixed or is it still with the developers at Microsoft?

Hi @HomelyElf718592
I don’t think so. From the v1.37.18.0 release notes, these are the changes to the Boeing 787-10:

Not fixed yet.

What is the point of updating the aircraft when they cant seem to fix this simple issue.
Does anyone know when this will be fixed?

Best case scenario is November 19th, 2024 :joy:

Are you sure about this. Why cant they fix as soon as possible its an amazing plane but very hard to control without the center alignment.
