With the partnerships with both Cessna and Aviat…I hope to see this in the sim one day!
https://flightsim.to/file/2246/msfs-c152-community Try this one out!
The only thing I miss in Cessna 152 is simple autopilot like KAP140. It would be my plane of choice for short and sightseeing flights if it had one.
I know it’s possible to trick the system into getting “invisible” autopilot usable via keyboard binds, but I don’t find this solution interesting
I would also recommend JPs mod.
The livery and interior inkl. cockpit panel colour shouldn’t be much of a problem.
You can put in a request at flightsim.to, and I’m sure someone will snap it up.
Changing the cockpit layout is more difficult.
@Triton610 @Archer374
Thank you. I am aware of the JPLogistics mod. It is incredible work and an improvement, but it’s still the default 152.
I don’t want the VOR instruments, ADF, DME, NAV units…just a COM, Transponder and GPS.
The JPLogistics mod has a KAP140 in it
Hello,
That link goes to a 404 error.
Could you please be specific as to what you are looking for?

Same mod. You can get on GitHub as well.
It is a very good mod I must say. Wish someone did a really good C172 mod.
Here’s an archive-dot-org copy from last year. Basially Aviat is/was selling refurbished Cessna 152s with some modern fixin’s:
Thanks, @JamAir421 . The OP already said that the JBLogistics mod is not what they are looking for, but I appreciate the heads up!
And thanks, @Vibstronium . I also found another page for the Cessna 152 Reimagined, but I’m still not 100% on this. As far as I can tell, these are just refurbished 152s with the VOR gauges ripped out and some kind of Garmin touchscreen added in, and I’m wondering, is that exactly what they want? As these are refurbished, it’s not clear to me that there is a standard “Reimagined” aircraft.
Well, if the team ever did do this, I’m sure they’d leverage their partnerships with both of these companies, as the OP stated. Although, the fact that looking up the word “reimagined” on Aviat’s website only comes up with two search results makes me think this didn’t end well for Aviat.
I suppose a simple standalone GPS function must be available as an add-on. If you want glass panels you can fly the 172 as the performance is not that much different. What I like about the default 152 is that is has NO GPS! I have fun finding runways in bad visibility conditions using only the stock VOR’s or VOR with DME (Air Manager panels).
Not a fan of the WB Sim’s C172SP Classic (payware) or Bagolu’s C172 G1000 mods?
Not sure. I’ve heard of the WB 172 but have read some neg reviews. Never heard of the Bagolu’s mod. I’ll look into it and see.
Thanks for the heads up.
and a lot more !!!
Oh, forgot to add, and its FREE !!
