Cessna 172 (Classic) - Electrical Systems Not Functioning

Make sure your Avionics switch 1 and 2 are programmed according to the screenshot above that i posted [ Electrical Bus to Avionics Bus].

Also you will have to go into the little screw icon on the right, in your control panel for your trim, and reverse the axis

Binding the avionics switches as recommended here makes my honeycomb bravo +/- knob only move by tens. That’s
interesting. Removing the binds fixes it.

'cause no variable yet in the sim. My mobiflight setup doesn’t go correctly too.
I don’t know what Asobo was thinking
they left behind some pieces of this 172! :man_facepalming:

Not a 100% though. The volt meter shows no reading whatsoever, only OAT works:

Altimeter setting only displays hPa and that is even not calibrated correctly to reflect current altimeter setting (yes US-system and language is selected in settings). Also, there is no way to dim the AP and transponder numerals.

The altimeter not only shows HPa in the Kollsman window, but the scale on the card is backwards. Rotating the altimeter knob (clockwise) increases the indicated altitude as it should, but decreases the pressure displayed in the Kollsman window, and vice-versa. So it’s less than useless.

When it stated here that the startup issue with the Classic C-172 was resolved I loaded the sim that evening, and was able to start this baby from cold & Dark (not using Ctrl+E). Only issue remained was that I could not get the avionics switches to move using the bindings I had set up. Tried different bindings to no avail.

Last night I started the sim and loaded the classic/basic C-172, and “Law-And-Behold”, the avionincs switches are working.

Finally a happy camper in regards to the classic/Basic C-172.
