Cessna 172 Fly to every country CabinCrew Tour Flight 242 do-over

Cessna 172 Fly to every country CabinCrew Tour

Since the launch of MSFS2020 I have started to fly a Cessna 172 with the intention to fly continuously to every country in the world.
This has resulted in a tour that started out in the Netherlands and as our community grew we have flown currently over the continents of Europe and Africa racking up more than 100 countries and over 141.000km of flight distance.

But we still have a LONG way to go.

It is our intention to fly and explore the world that MS and Asobo have given us to it’s full extent and having some fun and enjoyment in GA flying while engaging in all that is aviation and simulation.

Both advanced as well as beginning pilots are all welcome.

Hi

Is there anything waypoints?

I’m new at this community flights :face_with_peeking_eye::blush:

Me too. Just have the departure and arrival airports. And is it 1100z time?

First of all thank you for your interest.

There are indeed waypoints but if you download either flightplan you can load them directly into MSFS and have the waypoints all set.
I will add them to the forum post asap.
Still figuring out how to best formulate the posts here. I have flown this flight with the CabinCrew community for 3 years now but it is the first time I actually made them known on the official forum so there is a bit of a learning curve
Also today’s flight will be the flight from yesterday so flight 242 which was cancelled due to technical issues. I will adjust the posts accordingly.

I’m on a Xbox and the file do not work.

No problem. I just updated the flightplan with waypoints that we will be flying as well :D. As requested.
If I can help anyone out I will do so gladly.

also I do suggest following the stream as I will tell you all the way I navigate as well. There is an option to “purple line” it if you want but I usually use VOR/NDB’s for navigation when I can.
And I explain that during the stream.

Just added the extra info. Yes the stream starts at 11am Zulu or 13:00 CEST (Amsterdam/Paris)

It usually takes a bit of time to prepare everything so usually we are up in the air within 15 to 30 minutes.

I marked I am interested but may not be awake enough to participate :disappointed_relieved:

Don’t worry  They are fun exploration flights with a set goal. To fly to EVERY country in the world. This is not a sprint. It’s a marathon LOL

You may make it, but will an old C172 ???

Well we already ticked off Europe and Africa sooooo… progress I guess?

I just wanted to have a goal starting out flight simulation in MSFS2020. So I wondered if you could fly around the world. The internet told me it was done in real life several times. But nowhere have I found anyone crazy enough to fly to every country.

Of course it is impossible to land in some places. Andorra for one. Vatican City another but flying over them is valid in my opinion. Also I wanted to include all the states of the US and it is VERY hard to reach Hawaii in a C172. Not impossible apparently but very hard. So that will be done with a commercial plane. Probably the Baluga loaded with the C172  which should be available in MSFS2024 by the time we reach it.

But in the end it is meant to make people laugh and smile and make people enthusiastic about aviation and wanting to try and fly along.
