So I am flying to next VOR point but I do not see what is the distance to that point in NM on the display.
What button should I press to see that?

Text is too small to read. Which VOR, and where?
Maybe a zoomed in view of the PFD?

and where are your PFD options enabled to see FMC/NAV1/NAV2 options (freq and DME)? Go to PFD options menu and enable required options.

First thing I’d check is to see if it’s a VOR/DME or just a VOR. Not all VOR’s have a DME capability. If the one you’re headed toward has DME capability, press the PFD Opt softkey, then push bearing one or two to match nav 1 or 2 radio or gps to show distance.

Yes, I suspect that is what is going on. Here I am approaching ABB, in France.
I have the PFD option for DME enabled, you can see above.
If I instead tune to BNE to the North, which is a VOR, with no DME, then that box is empty:
