I am up to date in ms flight and the g1000 nxi. When I engage gps it is showing white and not green. Is this a bug since last update. Are others having this issue. Full F/P from world map with rnav arr rwy selected.

This is the new behaviour of the NXi. It is “armed” until you are close enough to the course for it to become active. In other words, if you are too far away from the magenta line it won’t turn green.
See original G1000 manual … there you get the answers. Or the plentiful well made YTs
One way to get the GPS to activate is to intercept the Magenta Line by using the HDG (Heading) mode. GPS will remain in White color until then. Intercept it at a 30 or 45 degree angle, and when you get closer to the line, the GPS Annunciator will start to blink. When it activates, GPS turns Green, HDG will disappear. The plane will bank to align on course.
Thank you very much for that answer CasualClick That was what I needed. I always in the past engage a/p, turn on nav and the a/c auto did it thing, now I will have to fly it for a bit. I am lazy.
Or just go back to the default G1000….
I don’t think I could now. The new features are too compelling.
I agree. My hint was not meant for you.
Please click the solution checkbox on @CasualClick 's post, to indicate that this solved your question. or @hobanagerik 's post as they actually answered first but with a bit less detail.
That little check box makes it easier for other users encountering the same problem to find the answer.
