ISSUE DESCRIPTION

Description of the issue:
The plane cannot be held at a steady course and altitude in manual flight or while under Garmin1000 control. When flying manually, the plane wants to veer strongly to the right. This is regardless of any flying conditions. The turn will continue to sharpen until the plane goes into a death spiral and crashes. It can be corrected using the yoke but it needs constant attention.
The Garmin is almost completely non-functional. The Alt and VS functions do work sporadically but often fail to attain or hold a given altitude. The NAV and HDG functions don’t work at all. Attempting to use either will result in the behavior described above.

The display control yoke does not respond properly. The display yoke moves it the opposite direction that the physical yoke is moved. Turn left, the yoke turns right and vice-versa. This only happens after the plane is airborne.

If applicable, which aircraft is experiencing this issue:
Cessna-172 and Beechcraft G36

• Yes

• I am not able to control light aircraft such as the Cessna 172 due to high winds (I believe it is high winds). During takeoff and climb out (and landing for that matter), I have to use a Crab technique just to fly straight as the aircraft bounces left and right like crazy. I have all of the wind settings set to 0, so I am not sure how to solve this. Thank you.

If relevant, provide additional screenshots/video:

I’ve found the 172 to be a pretty good platform. No major issues with the Garmin system/autopilot. Just to double check, you do have the “turbulence” setting in “Assists” turned to medium or low. The default “high” is pretty overdone.
Regards
PS: you might also want to check that any other “assists” haven’t been changed when the program loaded an update. It happens sometimes, even if you don’t make the changes.

This is a new problem. I have used the 172 many times in FS2024 without a issue. I get the same behavior with the Beachcraft G36. I have run both planes in 2020 with no issue. This problem was not present before the last update.

• No.

• I’m on the latest beta and didn’t notice any problems with the C172 or the G1000.

If relevant, provide additional screenshots/video:

I’m not on the beta. The autopilot was fine as recently as Friday, but it was broken yesterday. This has been a sporadic problem since the release of 2024. The trim numbers also seem very high after takeoff, and the two issues could be related. I’m on auto trim.

And it seems to be OK again. Autopilot doesn’t make the plane dive, and trim numbers are down. Maybe it works on Fridays.
