Okay folks I’ve just updated the premium and deluxe package as suggested above and it seems to be solving most of the the issues I’ve had on the C172: trim, fuel tank etc… Haven’t tested everything yet, like G1000, weird sounds, frame slowing down etc. But I’ll give you an update as soon as I can.
And yeah, that’s kinda weird to make an additional update on our own just to fix it, they could have added to the initial update but whatever.
Hello, I did the update but it didnt fix it for me. I have the FlightSimStuff throttle. The workaround I used was I cleared the trim on the FSS throttle and I was able to use the trim wheel on my Logitech multi panel instead. Alternatively, you can just assign it to your yoke buttons instead.
What i did that actually let me use the FSS throttle trim fix it was this tho. Go into general options and under cockpit interaction system, switch it to legacy. I can use all the different trims no problem now.
Hi not sure if it is in the hotfix which is out today apparently, it was 8-00 am Pacific time which is 5-00pm Spain (where I am) I am about to nip on and see if it there only just finished work.
Not sure if you have tried it or where you are in the world … check your time against Pacific time
Hot fix applied seems a bit better, managed a quick test flight the only thing was even though I switched to a few clouds as opposed to live (wind layer off) the plane was bouncing about like it was windy hard to trim and trim seems over sensitive (still clicking)
The magneto selector on “start” still not working, the hotfix hasn’t resolved it. Also, when I try to set a new button to my yoke, the window pop out but freezes. Can no longer validate, cancel or anything else. Must kill FS and start over.
Look at the top of the flight yoke where the (real life) trim buttons are. The sound comes from those buttons, you can see them move during trimming . I find it a bit too loud as well though compared to other cockpit sounds…
Anyone else notice that the Standard C172 G1000 appears to run out of gas (engine shuts off & won’t restart) even though there’s fuel in the tank? Just had a flight where it happened while setting up for a ILS approach, checked fuel tab & it showed exactly 1.5 Gal (5%) of fuel in both tanks but that’s not enough to run the engine apparently.
I’m having horrific issues with the autopilot on the 172 since the most recent update. It just cuts on randomly at the strangest and most inopportune times. I’m talking immediately after takeoff rotation, or on short final, etc. and tries to steer me into the ground.
I haven’t noticed any AP issues so far with the handful of other planes I’ve been flying.
I don’t know if autopilots are designed to work correctly close to the ground. Even if they are, I don’t use them below certain heights in case the AP goes crazy there is enough altitude to disconnect and manually recover. Wind shear on final is a good example.
To be clear, I’m not choosing to activate autopilot. It’s activating itself in the pattern, after rotation, etc.
It also refuses to toggle off. If I turn it off, it immediately turns itself back on. When this happens, the only thing I can do is physically hold the AP button in order to fly manually. When I let go, AP reactivates.
Check all the hardware configuration profiles for duplicate or odd assignments.
It seems like the more peripherals added, the more keybinding issues there are. I had created a keybinding hardware profile that somehow turned off all electrical permanently. But when I enabled the AI Copilot, all electrical switched on and worked correctly. Disengaging the copilot instantly shut down all electrical. Took some time to determine the hardware profile was screwy.
Hi, I saw the same issue with the trim, the external view shows a trim value 5 times greater than the value in the cockpit view. i.e. if the cockpit value is 1 the external value is 5.
