Formerly the pfd of the stock MSFS Cessna 172 Skyhawk would popout when the cursor is placed over it. The cursor would become a plus sign and a mouse click within the pfd would result in it poping out. For a long time now this procedure does not work. The plus sign appears but clicking produces no popout or a popout that I cannot see. The mfd behaves normally. Thank you for any suggestions.

I’m guessing that it is popping out, it’s just going to a display that doesn’t actually exist. This has been an issue since MSFS introduced their “pop out manager” which remembers the location / size of the pop out.
Give this a try.
- Set screen to “Full Size”
- Load into your aircraft / airport
- Pop out the displays
- Press ALT + ENTER to go into “Windowed Mode” (Don’t press anything else or move mouse)
- Press ALT+ENTER Again
This should bring the popout screen back to your screen and in front of main window

Thank you for your reply. The procedure does not work for me, but perhaps I am not following the steps. By "full size "do you mean a screen where the windows title bar and borders are gone? On the first few attempts I could not remove the title bar until I pressed alt+enter. But now when I restart I do see my screen without the windows title bar or border. I then put the cursor over the pfd and press rught+alt producing the plus sign and then I click within the pfd. I now notice for the first time that a small window flashes and disappears. Then pressing alt+enter does not produce the pfd or have any other visible effect on the screen. I am using three monitors.
On further exploration I succeeded in displaying the pfd. The mistake I made was attempting to set the screen to full screen from outside the MSFS rather than going to hte Options menu of MSFS and selecting that setting from the dropdown. Your instructions when followed correctly worked. Thanks again.
