I know I purchased the deluxe version on steam and in the content manager its say its installed but the Cessna 172SP classic doesn’t show up in my hanger???

That’s weird then. Some ideas (in no particular order):
- Try deleting and reinstalling that whole plane. (restart MSFS between those actions though).
- Or delete the entire Deluxe upgrade and reinstall that part.
- Delete the Content.xml file and restart the game.
- Check you don’t have any mods that affect the 172’s.
- I assume this is nothing to do with the Black Square Analogue Caravan payware mod?
Seems like some Config file is missing or corrupt so the app is not seeing it to populate the hangar screen.
Its name is WB-Sim Cessna 172, it won’t be with the Textrons. And you should be seeing the non-G1000s as well, are you sure you have the Premium version? It’s not included with the Deluxe, only the Premium.

I know I have the deluxe version because it says so on my receipt in steam.
Then you don’t have the airplane the mod is based on. The 172 Classic is only in the Premium edition, not the Deluxe edition.
No, it should be in the Deluxe version. The middle priced one. And he’s not trying to use WB-Sim mod. The plane is just not appearing for some reason.

Ah, yes, sorry, my mistake. Don’t know why I bought the Premium edition, but too many brain cells have come and gone since then for me to remember. Sounds like a ticket to Zendesk, for whatever that’s worth.

The C172sp Classic (Steam Gauge) is in BOTH the Premium & Deluxe, so which ever one you purchased, you should have it.
I have seen several cases where pilots think all their Premium / Deluxe planes are installed, but they are not> (Update or corrupted file issues ?)
I suggest you , within the sim, remove both Premium & Deluxe content - reboot, and the go to Profile & re-download them again, Ideally with any Virus protection temporarily disabled
(at your own decision and own risk)
This worked for all the Pilots I have helped with a similar issue, and were therefore also having this issue affect their running of the WB-SIM Mod.
Once their correct content was installed correctly, everything word as expect - A Good Result.

Note: DO NOT install the WB-SIM C172SP MOD onto a PC, that does not have Premium or Deluxe correctly installed.
The WB-SIM C172 Mod is an ENHANCEMENT Mod that modified the Asobo C172sp Classic in Premium or Deluxe
It cannot mod what is not there !!

Can you select it in the world map as an airplane to fly?
Of course … The Mod replaces the Textron C172, witha MODDED version, named the wb-sim C172. Its a MOD to the Asobo C172, and a rename, as opposed to another unique plane.
Why would you want the Standard Asobo C172, when you have gone out of your way to purchase the WB-SIM enhancement., ?
If for any reason, you want to go back to the more basic Asobo plane, all you have to do is remove the WB-SIM mod from your Community folder, (But I would very much doubt you would ever chose to do that )
UPDATE: Nov 2022- The latest version of the WB-SIM Mod now is a separate plane, so BOTH the WB-SIM C172 & the Asobo C172 are now “in the Hangar”

Personal Comments
Other mods put a copy of their mod in the hangar, next to the base Asobo model they’re built on. Examples: MrTommyMxr/DanielLOWG Cessna JT-A and GotGravel Vertigo. Something to consider.

On september 24 2022 I installed the WBSIM mod for the C172SP (of course my MSFS version is the premium&deluxe). Everything was OK. After the November update I loaded again one WBSIM c172 and I was surprised : even if present in the hangar (in fact only the G1000 version) the plane was invisible. I read some posts with the suggestion ‘disabling/removing the co-pilot’. No change in the problem.
I deleted the WBSIM mod from the Community folder and now the C172SP classic is no more present in my hangar (only the 3 G1000 version).
My question is : how to apply your suggestion of removing / redownloading premium&deluxe content ? In the content manager I have not seen how to do and more the premium&deluxe version is not listed.

You seem to be missing the original Asobo C172SP Classic plane . You should be able to re-install it from Content Manager.
If it is showing up in Content Manager, delete it, and let it download again. (Maybe corrupted – maybe after an official MSFS update)

You are NOT the 1st to have basic Asobo Plane installation issues, after Asobo Updates.

Thank you very much for answering. In the content manager list 9 cessna 172 are listed, 5 typed g1000 and 4 with no specific type. Are these 4 planes of the classic type and then may I delete and redownload them to get again the classic one ?
In the content manager list I don’t have the “DELUXE UPGRADE”.
It is also a good idea to have a look on WB-Discord as a part of the problem might be of their responsability.

Then that’s your problem – If you have purchased a Version of MSFS that has the “Deluxe package”, you should have the “deluxe Upgrade” as an option … unless you have not “Purchased” the Deluxe Version …

I’m sure having purchased the premium&deluxe version (boxed) and I flighted a lot with the c172sp classic. The problem is to understand why this item is no more present.
Another thing to understand : why others c172 (G1000) are available in my hangar.
Do you think I have to open a ticket with zendesk ?

I just tried to delete one of the non G1000 c172. The deleting was proposed, I answered yes and nothing was done. The item is still present.
The folder “Asobo-aircraft-c172sp-classic” is present (and not empty) in Official.

I have not understood why but now the content manager mentions the package “DELUXE UPGRADE” and a lot of others. Why ? I also have noticed that the Market Place was again available. Nevertheless my problem remains the same : the three (instead of four) WBSIM planes are invisible. There is no problem for others planes.
I opened a ticket with zendesk but as expected the answer was “vanilla state” and ticket to WBSIM. I’m waiting for the WBSIM answer. Let’s hope now.

The “DELUXE UPDATE” (and others) was again in the content manager after activation of “ON LINE FUNCTIONALITY” (??). Then I launched again the WBSIM installer to do a repair and a new installation. After this everything was OK. No more invisible plane and c172sp classic also OK.

If you knew the uninstalling and reinstalling me deleting app data folders and going crazy until I read your edit. It was in the ■■■■ hangar as two separate planes from the start. Thank you so much. Now I can fly lol 3 hours down the drain but it’s worth it now
