Cessna 185 SKYWAGON unable to dim GARMIN

ISSUE DESCRIPTION

Description of the issue:

if you go into garmin DISPLAY page set brightness to MANUAL, you can only slowly decrease the big number on the right (no way to lower it fast), but nothing happens, Garmin will stay all bright.

I’ve not been able to recreate this issue. Mine starts with a “normal” amount of lighting and despite trying to change as many variables as I could find, I couldn’t get it to glare like that. I tried the manual lighting change you mentioned (and OMG why can’t they accelerate the rate change!!), and it never seemed to have any effect on the screen.
I tried changing all three of the overhead light button controls, and rotating controls, and nothing seemed to cause it to change like you show.
In short, nothing seemed to make the lighting go brighter or dimmer from what I started with, not matter what I tried.
