seen same here: left and right fuel selectors both are already on when i get in the plane at cold & dark.
In the 2020 version of the plane these were set to off.

Can anybody show me where the fuel selector is? In the checklist from the EFB the eye for showing them is not working. I don’t found it.
They are in the Overhead Panel, two big switches

CTRL + 8 shall give you this view
This is still wrong in SU1 Beta
Is this really a bug ? I mean, I always figured that some buttons and knobs are intentionally left in the wrong position as it is part of the checklist to… well… CHECK them.
anyway the fuel selectors was in MSFS2020 for C208 in CD in off position now they are on. I feel this is wrong and a good way to learn to start the plane

Perhaps consult the POH? Of course a company might have specific guidance.
Seems like Cessna thinks it’s fine to leave them ON if you’re not parked on a sloped surface.
How can I test that
But yes you can interpreting that’s a valid case
I would read that manual as “Always turn one of them off. When on a sloped surface, choose the higher one”.

As a former airline pilot, that’s NOT how I read it. If that was the intent the manual would specify, the step would read something like, “Turn off the tank to the higher wing to prevent crossfeeding.” Now if the company manual says turn them off, that’s different AND perfectly reasonable.
@Bejeavis could provide some actual line experience about this.
To posit the sim is bugged because the fuel selectors are NOT turned off on a CD airplane is not supported by the POH. This game has bigger issues.
Our company procedures call for both to be closed during post flight. For a short layover I’ll just close one side. At the end of the flying day though both are expected to be closed. If both are left open, it seems like no matter how level you think the surface is the fuel system will allow significant imbalances to develop in as little as a few hours. I have personally seen a 350lb swing in around an hour trying to null out a fuel imbalance developed during the previous flight. I’m not going to try that again.
