Symptom - no Engine Sound in multiple planes (started for me with Cessna 400 Corvallis TT in Career mode “more powerful planes” License Test which follows CPL)
I can reproduce the “no engine sound” issue - here are the necessary steps:
Start MSFS2024 (following a clean PC reboot) and verify Engine Sound is working.
Change Plane to Cessna 400 Corvallis TT (as for me the issue started in Career Mode with this plane)
no more sound from engine
go back to Cessna 172 - engine sound gone as well
Hope this helps the Dev Team to reproduce the issue
Thanks for this incredible Product - let’s work together and iron out the bugs instead of online ■■■■■■■■■■…
Pretty similar for me. No engine sound in career mode at all.
Easy to be reproduced. Whenever in career mode, no engine sound. Due to ctd I have no idea whether these would come up in other modes.
Same for me. I can hear atc but no engine sounds. Also using headset i hear the atc the mic works but again no engine sounds. Only tried the 172 and 208 so far though.
After the initial crash, fortunately, the simulator works, but… No engine sounds in the Draco X and Supermarine Spitfire IX aircraft. In addition, in the Cessna 172 classic (analog instruments), the flaps do not extend, i.e. in the external view, the flap indicator reacts to the extension and retraction of the flaps, but visually nothing happens, in the external view the flaps remain retracted.
deleting the plane in C:\Users%user%\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024\StreamedPackages\microsoft-aircraft-c400-corvalis\content\SimObjects\Airplanes\microsoft_c400_corvalis resolved the issue.
For me, this only happens in Career mode. Most of the planes/helo’s work fine, however whenever I try to use the DCH-2 or the CTSL in Career there is NO engine sound at all. All other sounds play just fine (ATC, Cockpit, etc.). If I try and fly the plane in Free Flight, the engine sounds work just fine.
