Cessna 404 Titan - Electrical System Bug

ISSUE DESCRIPTION

Description of the issue:
Something is wrong with the electrical system. Battery discharges while flying.
And Low Volts indicator flickers.

Sorry that’s all I can say cause aircraft is encrypted…

Also there’s a bug with the lightning at night.
Should be cold and dark but can’t switch of this light.

Hello everyone,

I have t he same issue!

For what I can tell from my experience, I realized the isue the first time after landing, cutting off the engine and trying to restart it for a new flight, without exiting the sim / scenario (to the main menu).

I first thought it could be a bug after cutting off the engine. But when I keep the battery on for a while without starting the engine, this will unload very quickly. I haven’t count how many minutes it took to unload, but it was just the time to get clearance, start-up (I play with BATC) and geting the check lists done before taxiing. So I guess not more than 5-7 minutes. Compared to other aircraft, theyr batteries last much longer thatn what I described.
So now I’m forced to firstly start-up the enngine and than geting started wth BATC etc., which isn’t realistic.

The AMPS indicator shows a value of 50 once battery is freshly turned on:

but will slightly decrease as described above if waiting too long with engine off (which is normal, of course, but nit used to be so quickly down after not even 10 minutes or so in other planes) and even during flight, which should actually load the battery (if I’m not wrong…).

My procedure is as following:

  • turn on battery
  • turn on avionics and radio
  • turning on lights and de-icing / heating systems
  • getting clearence and start-up procedure
  • setting mixture and prop levers
  • turning on the fuel pumps
  • turning on the mags
  • fire up the engine

My periferals are:

  • Honeycomb A & B quadrants
  • Logitech Flight Radio Panel
  • Thrustmaster T-Rudder pedals
  • Mouse & keyboard (of course)

Would really appreciate some support on this aircraft!

Best,
Federico

Not clear that this is bug related to the 404, perhaps operator procedure related? Anyway, I will make a few suggestions based on IRL PP experience in similar twin engine aircraft (not 404):

In general, would not turn on lights & de-icing/heating while getting a clearance on battery. And I assume that you are turning on the Alterators once the engine is running, correct? Other than that, I cannot think of what else can help you out here. Good flying!

Correct! Alternators will be turned on once engine is running.

Thanks in advance for your suggestions!
